“Nice Hotel”
Beautiful hotel, beautiful lobby, very nice restaurant and bar. Breakfast buffet was very good. My only complaint is not having internet access in the rooms. It was very inconvenient to have to carry my computer to the wi-fi zone in the lobby to conduct business, check emails, etc.
“not impressed”
Was a little upset with the fact that there was mold on the bathroom ceiling, as my husband and other family in the room have asthma, I feel this is a health hazard.
“Good & Bad”
There are a number of things to like about this hotel such as it's nicely appointed lobby, computer center and restaurant, which has decent food, but there are a few things that are hard to overlooked. One issue is that the hotel is 18 miles from Boston and basically has nothing around it. The roads leading to the hotel are a war zone and the lighting for the hotel signs and exterior are non-existent. The pool and fitness center shown as features of the hotel are next store at a Boston Sports Club. I overheard an employee of the sports club say they needed new management and she was right as the pool, jacuzzi's and lockers room were pretty dirty. It's hard to pass up the price of this hotel but just understand there will be a few issues.
“But I was not happy at all. NOT IMPRESSED AT ALL.”
When I was booking for a Hotel at Boston, I have trusted to Sheraton Brand But I am disappointed. They even FORGOT to clean our room one night !!!! When we came to our room at 10.30 pm to sleep, It was a mess.
“No sleep in Wakefield Mass!”
Noise levels was awful! Worse night sleep. You could hear slamming doors and loud talking in the hallways. The heating/air cont. units was not explained to us at the front desk and didnt pay attention to it at the front desk when checking in. Only was made aware of it when we was checking out, that they showed me the display on the counter.
“Not worthy of Sheraton name”
We stayed at this hotel at the beginning of a vacation trip with a couple from Germany. I had booked non-refundably two rooms with 2 double beds each. When we arrived we got two small rooms with one bed each. When I pointed out that this is not what I had reserved, I was told that they had no more rooms with two beds and they offered to put in a free roll-away. They managed to squeeze the extra bed into our room, but our friends' room was too small for that, so they had to squeeze into one bed and did not get much sleep. Also, the shower drain was so slow, one took ones shower standing ankle deep in grimy bath water. This stay was an embarassment for me as the person who made the travel arrangements. The place does not deserve the Sheraton name, I would not stay there again.
“"Great Sleeping"”
We were extremely delighted with our recent sty at the Sheraton Colonial Wakefield Hotel. The low rate we found on Expedia made the slight drive from downtown Boston well worth the trip. The landscaping with Spring in full display was lovely and the setting on the lake quite picturesque. Our room was comfortable and the quality of the bed made for a very restful night. Many thanks.
“Circus!!!!”
Well first i was given the wrong room. So i had to switch to begin with when i arrived @ 12:00 am. Then the second room's internet did not work. Which was an issue for me since i was traveling on business. Well after the maintenance guy who knew nothing about computers tried to fix it, we finally got the support person on the phone and he knew nothing as well...so i had to switch rooms again. This time to a small cramped room with not the correct bed type and poor layout. Lets just say im lucky it was only 2 nights.....
“No sleep in very bright room”
The room was illuminted by the street lights as well as the hall lights all night long. The room was also extremely warm and noisey.
“A Good Value for the Boston Area”
When I arrived, I was extremely tired as I had gotten 2 hours of sleep the night before. My lawyer called and told me he had an important 35 page document that I needed to see before the 9:00 a.m. hearing the next day. He told me to get to a computer and download the document. I had some trouble finding a computer as the hotel had a computer center right near my room however I found out it was for certain "premium" guests only. There were computer facilities for other guests however it was quite frustrating getting the staff to point me to those locations. Once I found out where to go, all was well and I was able to get hold of the document and read it. The hotel offers the option of declining room service for up to 3 nights in a row. Every night you decline room service, they give you a $5 voucher that you can use in the hotel, mainly the bar and dining room. I took advantage of this asking for room service only twice during my week stay. As a result, I received $25 in vouchers. The only problems I had were: 1. The maids failed to leave a voucher in my room 3 out of 5 times, so I had to go to the desk to get them. 2. The breakfast was a rip off at $15. If you don't want to spend that, for $10 you can have basically cold cereal, coffee, and rolls, another rip off. One more thing. They advertize a pool. What they don't tell you is that the pool is in a health club a block away. Not all that convenient. All in all, I liked my experience at the hotel.
