Decent, clean hotel for the money

Posted Nov 17, 2014
Pros: Clean, inexpensive, good location
I would stay here again. It's not the Ritz, but its clean, the location is great, and the rooms have amenities not usually found for this price range - like wifi, fridge, microwave, cable, etc. If all you're looking for is a place to stay while you tour the wineries, this is perfect.

Inexpensive motel convenient to Whitman Campus

Posted Nov 9, 2014
Pros: Inexpensive, close to Whitman campus, clean and neat
Cons: Continental Breakfast
Location: There were restaurants within walking distance and the downtown was only a few blocks away.
We had an inexpensive motel with few frills and it was close to the Whitman Campus - just what we wanted.

Budget Bargain Great price and location.

Posted Oct 15, 2014
Pros: Price, location, cleanliness.
Cons: Not much given what it is.
Location: You couldn't be any better situated. You can stagger home from downtown wine tasting and dinner.
Great price and location. Booked last minute so not a lot of options. Haven't stayed in a 2-star motel since I was in college. Recently renovated so very clean. Right across from Whitehouse-Crawford restaurant, so great downtown location and right near the highway. The price and location is what really made it work . On the downside, it's a motel with everything that goes with that. Diesel trucks and buses starting up in the morning. It's like camping in a parking lot. Also not crazy about the security when the only thing between you and the Walla Walla Killer is a cheap entry door. Staff was nice enough but the cleaner took all our bars of soap the first night and when we went to the front desk to ask for more, they gave us the third degree like we were the heads of an international soap stealing ring.

Pros: NOTHING
Cons: ALMOST EVERYTHING
When checking in there was 3 people behind the counter .... they ignore us and continued to talk to each other in a foreign language. After about 5 minutes one of them asked for my last name and stated our room number and gave us the keys ... this was the total greeting .... PATHETIC!d

Our Stay at Americas Best Value Inn, Walla Walla

Posted Oct 6, 2014
Pros: The price, location, management staff and general comfort.
Cons: The rooms needed more electrical outlets. The cleaning staff could do a better job of tracking which rooms they cleaned.
Location: Near downtown Walla Walla with shopping, restaurants and wine-tasting rooms. Also close to the Saturday Market.
The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is within easy walking distance of several restaurants, wine tasting rooms and downtown in general. The continental breakfast is minimal but OK. The hotel is dated and the only electrical outlet we could find was in the bathroom, which is awkward these days with so many electronic devices to keep charged, but wi-fi was free, easy to access and worked well. Our room was clean and comfortable. Our room was not cleaned after our first night. Others in our party had there rooms cleaned, so I don't know why ours wasn't. For a two-night stay it wasn't that big a deal to me so I didn't follow up on it.

Inexpensive, close to downtown

Posted Oct 6, 2014
Pros: location to downtown, walking distance to several restaurants, lots of parking
Cons: ok for price
had 5 couples staying for a wine tasting weekend, would have liked to be closer together was told no rooms with one queen available so given one with 2 beds for same price, would have rather had bed and couch set up ( one was next to us, given to later check in) continental breakfast pretty sparse

close to downtown

for what we paid - and for the no breakfast (belive me it's NOT a breakfast) it's not worth it. Everyother place in town has a breakfast. When you are a family of 4 - this is a big plus. The customer service was great and the room was fine - but for us a breakfast is a must.

Bed and pillows were really uncomfortable. Had trouble sleeping. Shower was ok. Room was ok but probably will go elsewhere next time.
