Reliable, Clean and Close

Posted Sep 15, 2014
Pros: Easy walk to Whitman College Campus and downtown Walla Walla. The Bacon & Eggs restaurant right next door has a terrific and varied breakfast menu.
Location: Visit Whitman College campus. Tour wineries, restaurants and shops in downtown Walla Walla. The Bacon & Eggs restaurant right next door.
This is not a fancy hotel, but it is clean and practical. It is close both to the Whitman Campus and downtown Walla Walla. We have stayed here numerous times and the family who runs the hotel is friendly and welcoming. The breakfast is pretty basic, but they have a varity of items. (If you are looking for a full breakfast, look no further than the Bacon & Eggs restaurant right next door--a wonderful selection of gourmet breakfast choices.) The wireless is free, but a little slow. The rooms are clean and if you need something, the front desk is repsonsive to your needs.

Pleasant

Posted Sep 3, 2014
Pros: The friendly, helpful staff. And the bed.
Cons: Add some protein to the breakfast (hard boiled eggs). Update the decor.
Location: Next door, outside our first floor window, is a service station. We do not know what things there are to do nearby.
We were fortunate to find a room during a very busy weekend. The staff are very, very nice and helpful. Even though the motel is dated, our room was clean. The mattress was very comfortable--firm but really good (Serta Perfect Sleeper). The breakfast was as described--Continental style. Very basic. We would prefer more options, but as mentioned above, we were lucky to find a room.

Charged extra for every little thing.

Posted Jul 30, 2014
Pros: nothing
Cons: make your fees more reasonable instead of trying to squeeze every nickel and dime out of every traveler.
Location: Located in Walla Walla,WA. Lots of wineries and lots of history.
had animals which I always travel with and had to pay an animal fee per animal every night also had to pay for a cot. Most motels charge a single fee for the animal. I was disappointed that an apparent deal on a nights stay at a motel ended up costing me more than it would have been to stay at a nicer one. The room itself wasn't too bad, but not very comfortable.

Older Hotel but clean and quiet easy access. Short overnight stay. Did not try Continental breakfast but it was available, very small breakfast area.

Bare Basics

This hotel was certainly in need of renovation but it was clean and did the trick for a two-day business trip. If you're looking for a nice place to take the family for a vacation, I'd recommend you look somewhere else. The location was great though in that it was only two blocks from downtown and the local restaurants and shops.
