Better than expected for the price.Posted Dec 16, 2014 on Hotels.com
This place is dated, but clean and well maintained. The parking lot is very well-lit. It is within walking distance of the historic downtown, which some a few good options for meals.

Old and datedPosted Dec 8, 2014
Cons: Update rooms, complete renovation.
Motel is old and very dated, staff were helpful and pleasant, rooms appeared to be fairly clean, but rooms smelled musty with fair smoke odor, water damage in bathrooms, felt the rooms were over priced for what you get. Location is good downtown, but next time will spend the $20 more and stay at the Wallace Inn.

Ok but not likely to returnPosted Nov 21, 2014 on Hotels.com
Charming town and great motel location. But the motel was in the winter mode and we had to get the key from another hotel. Everything was Ok but next time we will look for a better deal for the money.

During our travels, we spent the night of 6 November 2014 in Wallace at the Star Dust. If traveling through Wallace or spending a day or two, we would stay at the Star Dust again. We recommend this reasonably priced hotel to any one who is looking for a clean, tidy room with a good bed and plenty of hot water.

Starlight Motel, WallacePosted Oct 11, 2014 on Hotels.com
You can tell motels are of a certain vintage when they have a bottle-opener attached to a bathroom wall. Nevertheless, the Starlight Motel is well-maintained and has been modernized in other respects. There's fresh paint, wallpaper, a good bed, and wifi. (And as it happens, the motel is one of the most modern things in Wallace, which is on the National Register of Historic Places as most of its buildings date to the late 1800s and early 1900s.) Desk staff was very friendly and helpful. And though we enjoyed our stay, we note these things: though our room description said we would have a refrigerator, we looked high and low but couldn't find one. Also, housekeeping could have done a better job running the vacuum around the baseboards.

Needs updates and nicer clerks.Posted Sep 13, 2014
Pros: It was the only one I could find on-line.
Cons: Some paint, new linens and cosmetic updates would help a lot.
Location: The Silver Mine Tour was wonderful.
Still has décor from the 60's and is very run down. Curtains were torn. Clerk was not there at 3 pm for our check in and not there at 7 am for our check-out. I would not stay there again.

able to walk to all the downtown activitiesPosted Sep 4, 2014 on Hotels.com
The price was pretty steep for the quality of the room, but the location was great. The carpet was quite dingy and one bed had a big dip in the mattress.
