Musty air from mouldy unventilated bathroom.
The hotel is an Ibis- basic but respectable, and with a decent breakfast, which we had included in the price. It would have been fine but for the dank basement smell of the room, which came from a bathroom that had no ventilation (the ventilation unit on the wall did not switch on). The ceiling was partially covered in black mould and it made it practically impossible to use the toilet with the door closed. When we told the guy at the front desk he "wrote something down" and said he'd look into it. That evening nothing had changed, nor were we offered a room with breathable air.

The room was so small, especially for the price. But wifi was great, plenty of hot water and breakfast was one of the best! My and Florant at the front desk was both wonderful and extremely helpful.

Guests can purchase our hot and cold breakfast buffet for just 14 € if reserved in advance or 12 € if reserved and paid in advance when booking the room. We also offer breakfast for early or late risers for just 9 € which includes a hot beverage, pastries, fruit, yogurt, bread, butter, cheese, etc. Alternatively we provide a coffee-croissant deal for only 4 €. Make this your Waterloo stay
Have never stayed with Ibis before but will recommend if this is what I got. Friendly staff greeting with upgrade to a large clean room. Any information was very helpful about Waterloo battlefield and transport. A great range of beers and comfortable beer garden. Break fast for 15euro all you can eat and large range of foods gets you on a good start for the day. Gare is five minutes away taxiand center of the town with Wellington Museum ten minutes walk. Overall I'm glad I picked Ibis and will use on future travels
