Very pleasant stay. Staff very welcoming in bar/restaurant and went out of their way to prepare us some food as we arrived late. Room clean and tidy and bed very comfy. Excellent value for money and would defo stay again.

Handy hotel next to M6 Jn 10Posted Nov 7, 2013
Beware confusion about Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express 5 mins away - my business colleague and I mistakenly booked into separate hotels. This was not our intention. Also, when I queried the cost of breakfast, it was reduced from £13.50 to £8.50 with the use of a voucher that nobody had explained to me at the time of agreeing to pay extra for a full breakfast (it wasn't originally included in my room rate).

Holiday Inn - WalsallPosted Oct 22, 2013
Pros: Location and facilities like the gym and swimming pool.
Cons: Sound insulation.
Location: Near to M6 and a KFC nearby
Nice hotel, but due to kids running up and down the corridors from when I arrived at 14.00hrs until 23.00hrs made this hotel a nightmare to stay in. The floors or not that insulated therefore the noise travelled a long way. Its a pity parents today can not keep there kids under control. Apart from this everything else was OK.

Great value at advance purchase ratesPosted Oct 19, 2013
Pros: Comfortable; quiet; basic but relaxing leisure facilities
Cons: Free wifi please TV could include the full range of Freeview channels on the same numbers as I'm used to!
Location: There's a motorway! It was pouring with rain so I didn't bother walking to the nearest town/village to search out a pub to eat at. Walsall is near.
Paid £35 for an advance purchase room to crash in overnight. Ticked all the boxes - swimming pool to relax in and a comfortable, quiet room - albeit a long trek from reception. Two minor housekeeping points - a lamp out in the room and the bath plug didn't pop up itself, but no doubt these will get fixed. The location is OK - next to the motorway implying you will have a car. Walsall isn't too far away for a somewhat cheaper breakfast than the hotel charges. There's a Tesco, Sainsbury's and a couple of Wetherspoons to choose from. Only gripe is that wifi is pricey - I think it's £12 for 24 hours - and mobile signal isn't great for data. Wifi really should be included these days.

If you want a good nights kip avoid this hotel!Posted Sep 17, 2013
Cons: get the noise sorted!
Location: nothing to do nothing nearby, other than shops.
From the outside great i thought another nice Holiday Inn but the room didnt seem clean enough, still found other peoples hair in bathroom. do they even vacuum?? The worst of it was the night..........cheap plaster board walls meant the noise of people walking in hall away echoing and door slamming to the extreme. Then to make matters even worse you got the cleaners cleaning rooms at 8.30am and that made even more noise. why do they need to clean that early???

Good hotel facilities close to motorway connectionPosted Aug 26, 2013
Pros: Staff, pool, air conditioned room
Location: Literally on J10 of the M6
I stayed here for a one night business trip over the Summer holidays and although I didn't use the restaurant or bar I thought it was worthwhile highlighting a few points - firstly the bedrooms are air-conditioned (not sure if they all are) which I hadn't really considered checking before I booked a UK hotel before, but having just sweltered in a much more expensive Hilton with only a pathetic little fan to try and cool the room I now see the benefit. The hotel pool was larger than average (don't expect leisure centre size though) and the gym was cool with modern equipment. All the staff I encountered were friendly so the only possible negative comment I could give it would be the location which was good in terms of access to the M6 but some people may have an issue with being so close to the motorway, there are trees and a large carpark in between the hotel and the motorway and I certainly couldn't here it from my room.
