Walt Disney World Resort
Walt Disney World® Resort Florida is enormous. Just 21 miles (34 kilometers) from Orlando, the 30,000-acre (12,141-hectare) resort is built around four theme parks. It has dozens of entertainment, shopping and accommodation options, so a little preplanning is recommended.
Visitors who arrive at Orlando International Airport begin their Disney experience aboard Disney Magical Express® Transportation, which whisks guests and baggage to their chosen accommodation. There are more than 20 themed resort options, including five-star hotels, cabins and camping.
The park is comprised of five districts based around the four theme parks and the Downtown Disney® Area. Magic Kingdom® Park is the most popular park. By day explore favorites such as Space Mountain and Pirates of the Caribbean. As night falls, your kids will gasp in delight as Cinderella Castle lights up with Wishes, a fireworks spectacular.
Epcot® is a celebration of international culture and technical achievement. Visit 11 nations, lead a mission to Mars and dive into one of the world’s largest aquariums, all in one day.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios® feels like a gigantic series of film sets. Dare to enter the Twilight Zone in The Hollywood Tower Hotel, experience 4-D in the Toy Story Mania!® Attraction and strut your stuff in The American Idol Experience.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom® Theme Park is the largest of its kind in the world. Roar along with Simba at the Festival of the Lion King or unearth a dinosaur in The Boneyard Dig Site.
Downtown Disney® Area is the fifth district and offers a world of dining, shopping and entertainment possibilities across three sections. Don’t miss La Nouba, a Cirque du Soleil acrobatic spectacular exclusive to Downtown Disney® Area.
Be sure to pack your swimsuit and golf clubs, as the resort offers spas, two water parks and five golf courses. The monorail, coaches and water taxis make it easy to take advantage of all of the fun.
