Hotel right by the beachPosted Sep 13, 2014
Have to admit when I first drove up to this Hotel I was not impressed. It was on the main road (which separated the hotel from the beach) and there was scaffolding all around the building which did not look very nice at all but they have to have maintenance carried out sometime. I knew it was a pub hotel so there were no surprises there although it wasn't very salubrious however, Helen the landlady couldn't have been more pleasant or welcoming. My mother and I stayed in the en-suite room no.1 which overlooked the sea. There were lots of stairs to get to the room but my 84 year old mother managed them well and it was worth it. The room was very large and it was comfortable and spotlessly clean. The bathroom was very spacious although the shower was just about adequate but for the money it was very good indeed and plenty of breakfast and refreshment items were supplied too, There was a side door if you didn't want to walk through the pub to go to and from your accommodation. I would go stay there again.

Relaxing bank holiday weekendPosted Aug 25, 2014
the landlady was lovely, the pub is child friendly which allows us to have few drinks whilst our son was playing around. The room is spacious and comfortable. Not ensuite but we knew about it. The bathroom was just for us though so no sharing. All was fine really. We had a pleasant stay

All round, excellentPosted Aug 12, 2014 on Hotels.com
We stayed on a saturday night in the en-suite sea view room. 2 adults and 2 children. The room was immaculate and large, lots of room for us all, everything we needed was in there, large fridge, breakfast, milk lots of bottled water and a nice large bathroom. All in all, this is a very good b&b and i wouldn't hesitate to book again when visiting the area. The owners were very nice and friendly, which was the icing on the cake.

A nice, clean, well situated seaside B & BPosted Aug 5, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel is very well located, as close as you could get to the sea front. We received a friendly welcome from our hosts on arrival, and were shown to our room (room 1) which was very clean indeed with fresh bedding, fresh towels, face clothes, soaps, well stocked up fridge, milk, bread, butter, jams, yogurts, bottled water, above and beyond what you would get in most B & B's. A small tv with freeview, table and chairs and lots of storage space for clothes etc, also this room has a really nice seaview. We parked our car in the pay and display car park right next to the hotel (£6 for 24hrs) The staff at the hotel kindly offered to move their cars so we could park in their car park, but as there are only a few spaces in their car park and seeing we were only staying for one night we were fine paying the £6. The beach is very nice in Walton and the pier is very good also but the town does go quite quiet in the evening (which suited us). I highly recommend the Royal Albion for a cheap seaside break, we will definitely be returning again in the future. Thanks for a lovely stay.
