Best place to stay in Wanaka!Posted Aug 23, 2012
Pros: The hosts Lynn and Murray
Lynn and Murray were wonderful hosts, we would not think of staying anywhere else in Wanaka and hope to return there in the near future.

Wanaka Springs - home from homePosted Mar 22, 2012 on Hotels.com
Wanaka Springs is a true gem of a find. Tucked in a quiet cul-de-sac not far from the lake the lodge truly has everything you could ask for; comfortable rooms, home cooked food and stunning scenery. Murray and Lyn, the hosts, are delightful and make every guest's stay wonderfully memorable. I would stay again in a heartbeat!

A true gem!Posted Feb 27, 2012
Pros: Friendly owners
Location: Great location for Wanaka
This was a great find. The small but brilliantly run hotel is just a short stroll from the town and the owners are absolutely delightful people and more than happy to help you with your planning whether it be for walks, sightseeing or just restaurant selections (try the White House if you're there - it's excellent!). Room was not massive but more than adequate for a short stay and everything you would need is there. The owners host a get together in the early evening with wine and/or beer supplied by themselves and some wonderful 'nibbles' as well! We found the hotel on Expedia and went on some other recommendations and were definitely glad we did. There should be a book with JUST this type of hotel in. You'd never need another travel guide! There is a hot-tub in the garden with views over the mountains - a great way to end the day before going out! Then there was the breakfast! WOW! What a choice (not to mention the 80 different types of honey!!). All cooked fresh for you - wish we'd stayed another night but will definitely return!

Best stop on our trip!Posted Nov 5, 2008
It's like the privacy of a hotel, yet the community feeling of a bed and breakfast. Super-friendly husband and wife owners cooked amazing breakfasts, had great advice on what to do and see around town, and hosted pre-dinner drinks every night for everyone to socialize (if they wanted). Beautiful location, room had a private patio.. My wife and I have nothing but great things to say about this place!!
