Better than expected

Posted Mar 25, 2015
Pros: Everything. Also they have free cancellation up until the same day you booked which we had to use the week before because of the flu.
Location: It is right on Hall road close to all shopping and restaurants
This hotel was very good and located in a perfect spot. It's on the small side but the rooms were very nice and clean. You even had a choice of pillows. There were 2 soft and 2 firm pillows on the bed which was perfect for my husband and I. He likes a soft pillow and I like a firm one. What a nice touch. Bed was so comfortable, had no trouble falling asleep. The best thing for me was the breakfast in the morning. I am gluten and lactose intolerant so normally I can't have much for breakfast at any hotels unless I bring something myself. Here they had gluten free chex ,gluten free bread, and soy milk for cereal. I was in Heaven. Thank you Comfort Inn for thinking of people with allergies. We will certainly be back again.

Good Experience

We were quite happy at the hotel. I was surprised though that there was no mini fridge in the room. I had packed lunches so I was counting on a fridge to keep our food cold. Staff were very accomodating about giving us an extra hour at check-out.

Great hotel with easy access to shopping.

Posted Mar 22, 2015
Pros: Cleanliness and comfortable beds.
Location: Great Lakes Crossing, Lakeside Mall, Palace of Auburn Hills
We travelled to Utica to attend a Maroon 5 concert at the Palace in Auburn Hills. We have stayed in this hotel before and enjoyed our stay because it is so clean and the beds are very comfortable. We decided to travel a little bit farther for the concert so we could stay at this Comfort Inn.

Problems

Posted Mar 21, 2015
Gave us a single bed for three adults. After giving us a different room they re-rented to someone else. The person entered our room in the middle of the night. They apologized and promised the manager would call. Never heard from anyone!

Write a note

Posted Mar 21, 2015
Pros: 3rd floor is quiet
Cons: Fix tub drains. Fix TVs Dont have such heavy comforters. Too hot and heavy with, too cold without
The room was comfortable and clean. The TV did not work correctly, so we called the desk and within 5 minutes someone was there and fixed it. I guess they got a new system and were having trouble with it. The drain in the bathtub did not work. Water would not go down. My husband didn't want to stand in my dirty water, so he didn't get a shower that morning. We told the man at the desk and he said sometimes you have to take your hand and play with the drain itself in the bottom of the tub, underneath the water because the handle above doesnt always work REALLY ? I would think this should be FIXED. My husband said you should tape a note on the wall that the tub drain doesnt work. Very annoying, ridiculous comment. My husband will not go back.

Great stay! The cookies, the free breakfast, tea, hot chocolate, coffee, and paper all added to an excellent experience.

Loved it!

Posted Mar 19, 2015
Pros: We enjoyed the breakfast - good, simple menu with ample choices to suit anyone's desires.
Cons: The security slider-lock on our door did not work - the knobby part on the door did not match up with the "slider" attached to the door frame.
Location: Right beside the highway, close to shopping malls, grocery stores, pizza, you name it. Easy drive to Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn.
We were visiting family in the area and this was a great central location for us. Not particularly impressive from the outside, but clean and welcoming on the inside. Friendly, welcoming staff. Carpets in hallways and rooms looked new. Bed felt clean and comfy. Bathroom clean and sufficiently stocked with some essentials. Bathroom taps need replacing, however, as they look old.

nice find!

Posted Mar 19, 2015
Pros: it was nice
Cons: for the price, it was great
2 retired ladies traveling to Beaumont hospital for a yearly eye exam and testing. We have stayed at many hotels in the area. We look for a reasonably price, clean room, continental breakfast, and safe area. A bonus is if we can find something fun to do on our short visit. This comfort inn met what we needed beautifully! For added bonus, we found a wonderful yarn and knitting store. My friend said it was the best ever! The staff was pleasant and helpful in recommending somewhere to eat. We would recommend the comfort inn in utica, michigan.
