Definitely the worst hotel I've stayed at. Bathtub had mold all over the caulk and around tub/floor. Carpet didn't seem vacuumed (put my socks right back on after taking them off) and the mini fridge wasn't cold. I took pictures. But, I can't upload them onto this platform.

The property needs some updates and fixes, like more sink space, both elevators working, etc. Not a big fan of the breakfast. That could be better. If you're just looking for something clean and quiet, then it is worth a stay. I have stayed at this hotel location twice now and would stay again.

The hotel was clean and quiet. The location was great for waht we were there for a funeral. The staff was vey friendly. Breakfast and the coffee was good.

Requested an adjoining room a week before stay. Was told there were no adjoining rooms but that we would be put in rooms next door to each other. At check-in asked again about adjoining rooms and was told that it was not possible. After getting into our rooms which were next door to each other, discovered the second room was adjoining but was not adjoined to the other room we were staying in. Around midnight, another guest tried to kick in my door. They then proceeded to call my room several times and threaten me with physical violence. They banged on the walls and walked up and down the hallway. I called the front desk to report what was going on stating that I didn’t feel safe. Staff stated that they saw the guests on camera and were watching them but offered no solution other than changing my room. After hanging up, the harassment continued. I was alone with 2 small children. I ended up having my husband move us and all of our things into the other room where my husband and son were staying and we were unable to use the second room do to safety concerns. I’m very disappointed in this stay. Did not feel safe at all and did not feel that staff adequately handled the matter. Will not ever return to this hotel.

I checked into the room and it smelled terrible. Like the previous tenant had a bad case of BO something terrible and there wasn’t enough ventilation to clear out that smell. There is almost no outside ventilation with the AC system and the bathroom fan did not work. The carpet felt sticky like too many sodas had been spilled on it and never cleaned. There was a homeless man living in one of the stairwells. And the breakfast was terrible. The eggs tasted like reconstituted powdered scrambled eggs. The potatoes were over cooked, dry and over spiced. The oatmeal was soggy and also overcooked. The coffee wasn’t bad. They had fruit, which the fruit salad was good. I ended up just eating bagels, cereal and fruit salad. The sheets and towels were clean at least. Though the comforters smelled bad. I won’t be staying in this hotel again. It’s really gone downhill.

Our room had a king bed a desk built into the wall unit for the tv and mini fridge and coffee maker. No drawers for clothes. And there was a space between the bed and the wall that was probably 8 ft wide. No furniture! A square table was shoved in corner that was missing a caster so it was wobbly. I asked the front desk about maybe a chair or something he said it was a standard room not authorized for chair! There is a shelf in the bathroom to hold the towels, it is a hazard! We almost poked our heads with the sharp corners. This was the worst Hampton inn we’ve stayed in.

It is becoming a very out dated property , there is newer hotels in the area now. House keeping only comes on three or more nights stay which they might want to inform guests. breakfast is the same everyday. They offer coffee and tea in the lobby but nobody to take care if it is full or empty , always cold. Updated the bathroom but left a 20 year old tub? Front staff makes you feel like you are bothering them when you have questions or concerns.

Great location!
This was the perfect venue for an overnight stay after a concert at Michigan Lottery Amphitheater. Great amenities nearby. The fixtures, etc in the room were a little run down. Maybe time for a coat of paint and some shining up?

Breakfast wasn’t as good as usual for a Hampton Inn. No fresh fruit except a few apples. Hard boiled eggs were all gone by 9:15. Only one choice of cold cereal. Oatmeal was barely cooked.

Disappointing
Pool was closed and we were not informed before booking. One of the elevators was broken and the one that was running sounded like it is on its last leg. Went to watch tv after returning from a concert and the tv remote would not work. Girl came up to help, couldn’t figure it out. said someone would come back in a few minutes and nobody ever did. Some of the wallpaper was peeling up and we saw what looked like black mold under it. Do not recommend.

Hotel was ok, a bit dated. Room was ok also. Our room, I think, was to have a couch but we had a big empty space w an unusable table in the corner. The bed needs to be replaced as you’d roll to the center. Breakfast was mediocre. Hard boiled eggs were not refrigerated and the sausage was cold. The hood was the distance to Michigan Lottery Amphitheater.

We took our three adult children and their families on a weekend trip to Detroit. The one condition that my 5 grandchildren gave me in selecting a hotel was to be sure that it had a pool. We were VERY DISAPPOINTED when we arrived to find out that the pool was closed for the weekend... Overall, the hotel rooms show their wear and tear. Very small room fridge, only one USB charger connection, NO working ventilation fan in the bathroom. Just not the type of experience I have been accustomed to when staying in Hampton Inns in the past.
