“Fine place to stop a night while traveling”

We stopped here for the night and knew we would be late. I called the proprietor to let him know we'd be a late arrival. He was prompt, pleasant and efficient. The room was adequate and comfortable. We just needed an inexpensive place to stay for a short night and this place was fine. Good price, easy to get to location, and convenient.

“Toughed it out for two nights”

Typical old strip motel in Adirondacks. Bathroom door jammed due to settling. Toilet leaked from underneath when flushed and flushing was anemic at best. Bathroom had been upgraded with tile and new vanity but old toilet was reinstalled? Pillows were thin. Fold up cot had awful mattress and legs were broken on one end. Room appeared clean and it was nice to have frig and coffee maker. We normally stay in low end chains but this was not what we expected the $ we spent per night. Ownner was nice and helpful with extra towels.

“Disappointing even on a budget.”

We needed a last minute motel room and this was the only non-smoking place we could find within our budget. The towels in the bathroom are very small and thin. Also, they did not provide shampoo or conditioner, so we had to go into town to purchase some. The sheets and blankets on the bed were of very poor quality. Even in this price range, a continental breakfast should be included, but they didn't offer it. I really hope that I don't have to reserve a room at the last minute again in the Lake George area, because the Route 9 Budget Inn was really disappointing, even for a budget motel.
