Better Than I Hoped For!

Posted Jun 17, 2014 on Hotels.com
This place is clean! The Indians or Pakistanis running it conscientious! It has operable vents (windows to us, bub) so you can get good fresh summer country air... and an outdoor pool! -- Ok it's only 20 feet long, no one was in it, and it's got rounded corners so I swam around in ovals...no stench of disinfect covering mold inside the motel; no stench of too much chemicals covering crud in pool so you get acute respiratory distress from being bombed by chlorine....no! NONE of that. The room d├ęcor has these Paul Bunyan-like chairs and tables...and the complimentary breakfast had everything but fruit (which I brought to the party myself...it was as cheap as I could go and stay above 1-star dives that I suspect the locals use to get themselves into country songs...and OFF the right side of The Big Tally Book. It's a little non-luxurious around this place, but I neglected to lock my car, and nothing happened! I'm telling ya, the two starers are wrong about Days Inn in New Florence, MO. No booze lounge, no nasty channel on the TV (not that I was lookin'!) (right?) just good, honest transplants to America like you n me bub, n bubette, unless your last name is Running Bear, or equivalent. Bring a suit and you can swim in air temps in the 70s, and not suffer thermal shock...warmer than that would be even better.

Provided our need

Posted Jun 2, 2014
Pros: It was convenient to our event.
The room was very neat, and clean. We did have a problem with our 1st room the air conditioner did not work, but there was no problem moving to another room. The breakfast was okay, no bagels.

Location: The hotel is only 15 miles away from Herman.
The Days Inn in New Florence is a clean, quiet, and comfortable hotel. Isn't fancy but has everything you need. The breakfast was satisfactory.

Very good for its price

We needed a one-night stay during our 18-hour drive. We are not picky for this type of stay, and had seen a lot of bad inns. Days Inn was better than usual roadside hotel. Convenient location near I-70, clean, spacy room. Funny furniture made from branches. Not a resort, but very really great for a traveller.

Only stayed there because it was close to Hermann

Posted Apr 3, 2014
Pros: It was convenient to the location we were visiting
Cons: The front desk staff.
Location: Hermann MO
Check in was very difficult as we explained twice - we needed a room on the 2nd floor to avoid smoking rooms & rooms without pets. We took the key & needed to rush to our appointment. Upon returning to the hotel approximately 9:30 pm, we had to ring the bell & wait for someone to let us in. The man came out of the office wearing a wife beater undershirt & told us we should have used a different door. He was rude & acted annoyed when we asked how to get to our room. We decided not to risk eating breakfast there.
