Worn out beds and out of date rooms.

It's a decent hotel for the price. The staff is excellent, the outside, lobby and breakfast area appear to have been updated nicely in the past few years. The rooms are in desperate need of updating. Carpet was old, but clean. Windows open for fresh air - I like that. Furnishings were what you'd expect for the rate. The beds weren't decent when new, which likely accelerated their deteriation. Tiles in the bathroom crunch and shift under foot, beds are worn out. The operation for turning on the show was antiquated and not intuitive. One lever for "pressure adjustment" (c'mon we all know there's NO PRESSURE in any hotel shower) then on the same lever was the HOT and COLD adjustment. The "trigger" for switching the water from the tub spigot to the show is what was weird. You have to grab the end of the spigot where the water flows out and pull it down to divert the water to the shower. Who is the moron who engineered that? Overall it was a place to crash for the night, in the end that's all I was looking for at this dollar amount.

The check in front desk personal was a 4 out of 5. Our toilet wouldn't flush at 11 pm. We were upgraded to suite, very nice, but we had to move ourselves as no help available. Suite was clean. First room #123 was dirty in spots. Dirt under soap holders in shower area.

We just spent a night while taking a road trip. The room was on the 3rd floor but the elevator wasn't working so we had to take the stairs (luckily we packed light!) The room smelled of smoke & there was burn marks on the toilet seat. The staff were very friendly & the continental breakfast was better than most!

Internet worked well, bathroom was big, bed was comfy. Just about everything you need for a quick stopover.
