Full marks for a welcoming hotelPosted Oct 10, 2013
Pros: As above
Location: We were only using that area to split our journey home.
We received a welcome from the excellent receptionist. We were helped to our room with luggage by one of the workers who was very pleasant. We would recommend this hotel and we would also stay there again if we were in the area.

Convenient for motorway!Posted Oct 7, 2013
Pros: all of above
Cons: not much
Location: There is Warwick with its castle and the Motor Heritage museum (about 5 miles away) which is very good.
Having stayed several times the standard is always consistently good. It's not 5* luxury but it is clean, comfortable and convenient and the rooms a good size at a very reasonable price. The staff are friendly and efficient and for a night or two whilst travelling it does what it says on the tin!

Cons: Smoke ridden atmosphere
I was led to believe that the rooms or the one I booked was non smoking. This was possibly true of the room although it did have a tainted smell, but the corridor through which one had to pass definitely wasn`t and stunk of smoke. I found myself holding my breath when passing through the corridor. If anyone like me has an aversion to smokey atmospheres and values their health, I would suggest that they book elsewhere.

Room FacilitiesPosted Aug 23, 2013
I need to have an electric socket close to the bed as I need to plug mu CPAP machine in during the night. I also had to move furniture to accomodate this and the carpet had not been cleaned had sweets stuck to it, also sticky sweets on inside of door.

difficult to findPosted Aug 21, 2013 on Hotels.com
Being from overseas (Canada), we did not realize the hotel was in the service area of the motor-way and thus had great difficulty in finding it. We asked a local farmer on one of the nearby country roads, and he did not even know of a Days Inn! We had selected the hotel from its apparent proximity to the crematorium at Oakley Wood.

Complete failure from start to finishPosted Aug 20, 2013 on Hotels.com
I booked this online through hotels.com booking non smoking room! "apparently” the system somewhere failed to register non-smoking! innocently arriving at 10:15 pm booked, went to room and opening the door the stench hit us. I returned to reception saying “look I am sorry but I booked a non-smoking room” to which the lady on reception looked at her booking and said your booking is for a smoking room at which point I said look I am sorry but I have never smoked and cannot sleep in a smoking room we could not even walk into the room! at this point she said they are completely full and cannot move us. I calmly reply saying is there no chance of a change as I would rather sleep in the "expletive deleted" car than in that room. She then hits the roof saying I had better not swear at her and I pointed out I was not swearing “at” her and again calmly repeated myself, she then modified her words and said I should not swear in her hearing, that she does not have to do anything, “so unless I start talking to her nicely" she won't even look. At this point I questioned what she was saying and she repeated that if I wanted her to try and find a way to move my room, which she did not have to do she would not even look. I left the talking to my partner at this point and left the reception. I then travelled to the North bound establishment finding they were also full. That gentleman when I explained what happened helped me to find another hotel. Be warned the smoking rooms REALLY STINK!

overnight stayPosted Aug 18, 2013 on Hotels.com
Having arrived late because of roadworks, the lady at the desk was sympathetic, and then proceded to inform us of the the things we needed to know(breakfast choices at the motorway services/offers to guests available/checkout time). The hotel was ideally situated for our early start, and the room was nice and clean(ironing board asked for in advance and received). For the price we paid,we got exactly what we wanted for the one nights stay, and we will be using them again.
