No stairs to climb!Posted Aug 9, 2014
Pros: Service and no stairs
Location: Golf course
This was the only hotel/B & B in the UK that we didn't have to lug our bags up narrow winding stairs! Lifts seem to be unheard of. View from our room not good (overlooking car park) but the hotel itself was very enjoyable to stay in, with excellent service.

Just OKPosted Oct 5, 2013
This hotel appears to be a little tired, but does the job. Expect the quality of room that you would normally find in a bed and breakfast place. Bathroom was rather cramped, mattress appeared to be old and lumpy, but I slept well, with little disturbance from other residents. There's no desk space for working - it's taken up with tea and coffee making and the TV. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Despite the adverse hygiene rating, the bar food was tasty. Compared with the Premier Inns in the centre of Coventry that are my first choice and are a similar price, this was a little disappointing.
Stay somewhere elsePosted Sep 23, 2013
Cons: Some customer service
Honestly, too awful even to go into. This hotel seems to think that because they have your card details, provided for extras, that they can just charge as much as they like, I still have no idea until I get my credit card statement how much they have decided to charge me for my stay. Also price stated on Expedia is not the price I ended up paying which no doubt will be significantly higher. Stay somewhere else there are nice hotels in the area. Unable to speak to the manager as he was unavailable.

Pleasant country location, ideal for RugbyPosted Aug 7, 2013
Pros: Complimentary drink
Cons: Poor breakfast service
Location: Quiet although adjacent to but set back from main A road. You'll have to cross / re-cross A45 and slight detour
Very pleasant stay and surroundings. Room did what was needed. Restaurant very busy that particular evening with golf party and meal took longer than it should have done to arrive. I was kept informed and without asking offered a complimentary drink. Very good service. Could have done with an extra staff member for breakfast as with just 1 on, she disappeared for over 15 minutes and I had to seek assistance from reception for toast etc.

Good hotel, particularly for golfersPosted Sep 14, 2012
Pros: The open reception, bar and restaurant areas
Cons: Minor deficiencies in the bathroom and blandness of decor
Location: Easy reach of Rugby & Coventry in particular but see access comments in main text
Good value particularly if you can fit in the 2 rounds of golf I was offered. Booked double room but only offered twin as fully booked. After some discussion, the room was re-made as a double by zipping beds together whilst I ate in the bar. Bar food was reasonably varied and realistically priced. The entrance, bar and restaurant areas were pleasant and welcoming. Bedroom corridors and the bedrooms were functional but could have benefited from pictures and less bland decor. Shower door scraped toilet making entrance very tight and there was nowhere to put shampoo etc - minor things but leaves the impression of almost there, but not quite. Be aware that because access is off a dual carriageway, arriving or leaving depending on where you're coming from or going to is somewhat circuitous. Noise was not a problem. Overall a satisfactory place to stay.
