Lovely building, gorgeous location, staff very attentive, rooms beautiful, pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna excellent. A great place to unwind and relax and a short drive to Stratford Upon Avon

A real gem of a hotel with outstanding staff.Posted Sep 1, 2014
Pros: I loved everything, absolutely everything, but the staff were fantastic. The towels in the bathroom were the biggest and whitest towels I've seen.
Cons: The kettle in my room needed descaling.
I stayed her for one night with my teenage children. The first thing that strikes you is just how fantastic the staff are. They are a credit to this establishment. Unquenstionably so. We stayed in an executive room which was big enough to sleep four. The one downside, was the double sofa bed( the bed for the third and forth person), the mattress was too thin so a good night sleep eluded my daughter who opted to sleep there. For a stay of more than a night the sofa bed would have been an issue, but when I mentioned it on checking out I was assured it would be replaced. (Room 43). I'm returning with my husband just after Christmas so will see. The dining experience is just that- an experience- you have got to experience it to understand- great food if a little pricey, but the staff again come into their own. Top class service. One of the best hotels I've been to in this country and for that matter abroad and I do travel a fair bit.

DisappointingPosted Aug 5, 2014
Cons: new carpets and refurbishing of the rooms is desperately needed - we were in the Kingmaker room and were very disappointed
Location: A little far from Stratford so not very convenient
The grounds were fabulous - very very beautiful. The common rooms (lobby, etc,) were lovely too. But the carpets in the halls and in the rooms were very dirty and worn out. The décor in the rooms is badly in need of an update.

Wonderful stayPosted Jul 28, 2014
Pros: You feel at home as soon as you arrive. Restaurant excellent.
Cons: Signage to the hotel.
Location: In the heart of the Cotswolds.
Beautiful building and location. Staff could not be more friendly. Restaurant very good value - dinner superb and excellent wine list. You can tell that they have tried to do everything to make you feel at home. It is not stuffy at all. Even had robes in the room. Can't wait to stay again.

Beautiful resort in the English countrysidePosted Jul 26, 2014
What a beautiful hotel. The grounds are spectacular. The rooms are large and comfortable. The staff couldn't be nicer. And the breakfast was delicious. Can't say enough great things. Just know, that while it's close to Stratford upon Avon, it's still about a 15 minute drive away.

Three day breakPosted Jul 25, 2014
Pros: The location and the pool/jacuzzi were lovely
Cons: Wifi connection in the rooms was slow and sometimes we were unable to connect even when we used the business service
Location: Location Stratford is beautiful lots to see and do in the local area
Beautiful hotel set in lovely grounds the staff were very helpful at all times the room was very comfortable and had all the usual facilities the only thing that let the room down was the wifi connection which was very poor . The food was lovely. Although all the staff were aware it was our 25the wedding anniversary and everyone wished us happy day we didn't get any extras or room upgrade it would have been nice to have had some flowers in the room or a bottle of wine just think it would have been a nice touch.

Nice secluded quite breakPosted Jul 8, 2014
Pros: Everything, was a very pleasant and enjoyable stay.
Cons: maybe a happy hour at the bar, but that is stretching it.
Location: 15 minutes from Stratford upon Avon
Great service and great friendly staff. They were knowledgeable concerning the area, the attractions nearby, the hotel, the history, the food, and the drinks. You never felt like you were in a rush, and the staff made out that you were the most important person to them.

A fabulous location for the break away we both wanted. It's a must for anyone who wants to relax unwind and be looked after by the most helpful staff. The only negative is that you would expect the Resturant to be Michelin started for the prices on the menu's but the two local pubs food was excellent and to a very high standard and was reasonably priced. We would most definitely return

Quick stay in stratfordPosted Jun 13, 2014
Pros: Manor, grounds staff very accomodating.
Location: Stratford upon avon which sells itself. Very good pub and bistro nearby called, the Bell highly recommended.
Last minute booking but would in retrospect have gone for a longer stay. Would like to have made more use of the facilities which looked well worth using.
