Very good value and convenient for RSC

Posted Nov 13, 2014
Pros: Staff + value.
Cons: A printed breakfast menu.
Location: The hotel is immediately opposite May Arden's house.
This was a nice hotel with ample parking and very helpful staff situated just a few miles outside Stratford on Avon and a 15 minute drive from the RSC. My wife and I would be happy to stay again (we have several theatre visits planned). The only recommendation we have is that a breakfast menu would have been welcomed rather than simply being ask what we wanted. So, highly recommended.

Don't count getting your room!

Posted Nov 1, 2014
Turned up - tight for time for theatre visit to be told we'd be shunted to a farmhouse b&b other side of town - nearly ruined evening - had to feed child a sandwich instead of dinner whilst rushing through the dark rush hour. The Arden couldn't be bothered to ring me and tell me, and didn't pick up the phone when I rang. Rubbish management. Substitute b&b was poor and in wrong location

I do apologise for the inconvenience caused to you. I am so sorry that the room was double booked and there was no communication to inform you of that.

Nice hotel in a quiet village

Posted Sep 15, 2014
Pros: It was set in a nice village outside of stratford .
Cons: The rooms although very clean and well equipped could do with a little modernisation.
Location: There is a tudor farm in the village and ann hatthaways cottage is not too far away.
The lady who runs the hotel is lovely and cannot do enough for you. The breakfast was exceptionally good. The only problem we had and it wasnt the hotels fault it was expedia's that we had booked a double room for our wedding anniversary and it had gone through the system to the hotel as a twin. To make up for this the hotel reduced the room rate for us.

Close to Anne Hathaways Cottage, Mary Ardens House

Posted Sep 12, 2014
Pros: Everything
Cons: Happy with whole experience.
Location: Shakespeare country. Close to 2 major attractions with Warwick and Leamington Spa close by for alternative venues.
Lovely Hotel, room comfortable as was bed. Each room named from Shakespeare story/character, unique. Restaurant cozy. Staff very helpful, could not have asked for more. Definitely would be top of my list for visiting the area again.

Peacful and relaxing

Posted Sep 11, 2014
Pros: the relaxing atmosphere
Location: Stratford is only a leisurely 4 mile walk but if you cannot face that half a mile up the road is the train station which is good value at £1.60

Excellent quiet location; Friendly & helpful staff

Posted Sep 9, 2014 on Hotels.com
Hotel is located in quiet village 10 minutes' drive North of stratford-on-Avon. The twin room was clean and comfortable with pleasant decor and adequate amenities. The ensuite bathroom/toilet were also spotlessly clean, but the wash hand basin was not draining properly, due to some blockage, and there was also a water leak that wet the floor. This was reported to the proprietors. The staff were helpful and friendly, as was the dining room service, while the full English breakfast was fresh and hot, with crisp (not soggy) fresh toast.

Lovely place.

Posted Aug 18, 2014
Hotel quite close to Stratford and just across the road from Mary Ardens farm, which is handy if you have the 5 Shakespeare house ticket. Our room didn't seem to be ready so we received a free upgrade to the Romeo and Julie suite, which was very nice. Staff very friendly. Food good and breakfast excellent. Really good value for money.

Sloppy breakfast

Posted Aug 2, 2014 on Hotels.com
Evening meal was standard pub fare, not outstanding. Air conditioning units outside the room were intermittently on all night long. Breakfast was indifferent: hot water in a cup with a tea bag served as tea - took a request to have a pot made. Only one jug of milk for the whole breakfast room, 7-8 tables - to use for cereal or tea; nothing for individual tables. Burnt tomatoes, burnt toast, dried up bacon. One butter pat for three pieces of toast. Charmless service. Disappointing.

見つけやすい

Posted Jul 9, 2014 on Hotels.com
