Cheap and close to where you need to be

Posted Apr 25, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: Additional van for shuttle service.
Location: Not too far from the metro stations. Go to the Pentagon City station and hop on to take a <10 minute trip to the DC sites.
This hotel is a good price and is in a location that isn't too shabby. The rooms do what they need to do if you only need to sleep and brush your teeth. The shuttle service to and from the metro is great and worked well for us the first two visits. However, my family and I stayed here a third time and waited around for the shuttle for nearly an hour (it runs every 30 minutes). When I asked the front desk of the whereabouts of the shuttle, she advised me that it had already come and gone. This was inaccurate information which caused us to get very frustrated and we had to take our own vehicle to a different metro so we wouldn't be even later to our event we were there for. Pretty disappointing experience for us to have to deal with. The shuttle service takes you further away from DC anyway so I would suggest driving 14 minutes to the Pentagon City Metro Station if you need to make it to DC quicker.

Place à l'amélioration

Posted Apr 25, 2015

Worst hotel experience

Posted Apr 23, 2015
The hotel staff was rude. They cleaned out our room and we weren't due to leave for another day. They threw our shampos and other toiletries away. I'll never stay there again .

So-so hotel

Posted Apr 21, 2015
Pros: The beds were comfortable.
Cons: The rooms need to be remodeled with newer carpet, curtains and bedding. Also, the door and security latch did not work properly.
Our room did not match the hotel pictures. It was very outdated and not very clean. We were actually afraid to walk barefoot on the carpet. The beds were comfortable though. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They do have a shuttle between the hotel and Van Dorn station, so getting to the Washington DC area is easy. The neighborhood is questionable.

Convenient location to Van Dorn Metro station.

Posted Apr 20, 2015
Pros: Location and very friendly staff.
Cons: Overall cleanliness. The outer areas are a bit rough.
Location: Very close to Van Dorn Metro station and some decent cheap places to eat nearby.
Decent enough room. A little on the dingy side overall but honestly we were barely there. Beds aren't the best. The location is good but I probably won't stay there again.

Price and Location

Posted Apr 19, 2015
Pros: Price
Cons: If they change anything the price will go up due to the cost of upgrades needed to match higher priced facilities.
Location: The immediate location is not good but if you have a car, within a few blocks there are shopping centers and major discount retailers.
The only reason anyone would want to stay at this place is to save a great deal of money and to have a convenient location. It is not for the faint of heart and only for a cheap sleep. They do have hot water.

Older Hotel, remodeling efforts not quite there

Posted Apr 16, 2015
Pros: At least it was available room and right off of 395 and 236? was able to get back to DC quickly
Cons: The lack of hot water and the air conditioner/heater
Location: Everything about Washing DC is nearby, also the interstate is easy access
Place is average, clean enough but older renovated place with doors facing the outside. Heating unit in room was not cutting it even after setting the temp at 86 degrees. Very little hot water coming out in the shower.

Avoiding all Days Inn following this stay.

Posted Apr 13, 2015
This place is a dump. I was way overcharged. Everything from the carpets and linens to the bathroom and drapes were disgusting. I will no longer consider staying at any Days Inn as a result of this experience.
