Best Western Capital Beltway

This was a great hotel near FedEx Field but had one glitch that tainted our stay. We were trying to get checked in and get to concert at FedEx Field but they did not have our room ready even though it was 3pm, the normal check-in time. No other room types were offered as substitute even though we were in a hurry and at least 10 other rooms got checked in by 3:30. The owner(we assume as he had no name tag) kept seeing us there waiting and asked us the problem and when we told him the situation he immediately expedited the room cleaning and got us in our room albeit 35 minutes after our first check-in attempt. The housekeeper was still in the room and finally finished several minutes later.

Room was clean ( bathroom was the sore point with me with a dirty hand basin; also the tub water controls needed fixing with water kept dripping).

. Room was standard, bathroom was in need of updating. Cracked grout, uneven tiling. Decent mattress, lousy pillows. While pool is a nice feature, hours are very limited, towels at pool were limited and tiny. Breakfast was the strong positive. Better than most "complimentary breakfasts". In addition to typical fruit loops, raisin bran, muffins and bread, there were hot items, eggs, potatoes, and a cool pancake machine the kids loved. Staff pleasant and courteous. Overall experience was "fine", but could have been better. Would stay again at a good rate, would just as easily stay elsewhere for better rate.

Traveling for NC to NYC. Stopped over in DC for a night. Just needed a hotel to sleep at. Breakfast in the morning was crowded, but had hot breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Little noisy, but located conveniently off the highway. Overall good for a nights sleep.

comfortable bed; decent pillows; better than nice shower head

Old hotel; there was this "dirty" feeling about the hotel. Very small pillows. free wifi, but could not use; slow working. There was an automatic pancacke maker(very impressive).

Everything was wonderful but the noise of traffic from hwy 95 was almost unbearable. We had to turn the tv volume up high to hear it. We will stay here again but will stay on the backside of the hotel facing Princess Garden Pkwy. Breakfast was awesome and staff delightful!

We checked in late (1:15 am) after a Monday night Redskin/Giants game - Hotel was full & clerk at desk extremely busy but very accommodating to us. Our room was clean & comfortable plus the refrigerator & microwave I had requested was there. Breakfast was excellent & staff friendly & helpful. The clerk at checkout was relaxed & friendly despite how extremely busy he was. We will stay here again next time we are in the area.
