Location is good but the room conditions are bad

Posted Aug 12, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: The room/batch condition must be fixed
We had bad experience with the room. The bath tub clogged and we called the reception for repair. The repair man came and said he can not fix it now. So finally we have to take bath in the bath tub with a feet of soap and dirty water. Also, the exhaust fan in the bath did not work and we have to suffocate with in all the time.

Nice hotel with easy access to metro.

Posted Aug 11, 2014
Overall, a very nice hotel. Great hot breakfast but hard to find seating when hotel is full. Shuttle to metro is on the hour, starting at 8 am ending at 9 pm . Pool open 6-10 weekdays & 2-10 weekends.

Hotel close to Metro to take into DC area

Posted Aug 7, 2014
Hotel was not what we expected. Requested room facing front of Hotel. Instead room was over looking roof with all of the A/C units. Breakfast not many choices. Food most of the time was warm if not cold. Was told to call for shuttle pick up from the Metro. When we called hotel, we were told you just missed shuttle and need to wait about an hour for the next pick up. We were never told pick up on an hourly basic. Otherwise we would have altered our time in DC to make shuttle time pick up. We needed to take a cab back to the Hotel.

Terrible experience

Posted Aug 4, 2014
The hotel was in a terrible neighboorhood, I booked off expedia and was expecting something different as it advertised breakfast, fitness center, pool, etc. Well, the fitness center had one treadmill that didn't work properly and a bike and a bow flex that was best up. The pool didn't open until 6pm!!!!! My kids were execting to swim and couldn't until 6 at night! To top that off the pool was not heated and was freezing. The rooms were outdated and dirty and the hallway smelled funny. I would not reccomend staying at this hotel especially if you have a family.

Cheap but dirty.

Posted Jul 26, 2014
Pros: Convenient to metro. Cheap.
Cons: They need to clean.
Location: There isn't much around the hotel but a short drive gets you to a good selection of restaurants and malls.
Very close to the subway to get into DC. This is kind of a get what you paid for. The carpets were filthy. The bathroom floors were bad. The tub was clean. The bed was comphy. The pool was disgustingly dirty. The water was murky and gross. Blah! They had a fair selection at breakfast. Again, it was free so don't expect much. I would spend a bit more and try for something a bit better but if you want to save money, go for it.

This is where my family will stay when we come to Washington dc. The breakfast was nice. The pool area needs a little improvement. But overall it was nice clean.

A cheap older hotel near D.C. 2.75/5

Posted Jun 27, 2014
The staff at the hotel were excellent. Breakfast was good. The downsides to this hotel are location and facilities. This hotel needs a much needed renovation. The hallways were dark. The pool had way too much chlorine in it and was only open from 6p to 10p. The plumbing had a leaky faucet and the room had an odor to it. The people running it were very nice but the owners need to spend money on a major renovation so I don't blame the staff.

Outside DC

Posted Jun 25, 2014
Good hotel for the price. Staff was helpful. Room was comfortable. Breakfast was okay. Shuttle to/from metro stops at 9:00 pm. We didn't use it because we wanted to stay in DC later. Metro station is about a 5 minute drive from the hotel. Plenty of parking at the station. You can take your own car from the hotel and park at the station for $4.50.

Great value.

Posted Jun 20, 2014
Pros: Breakfast included. Indoor pool, though hours were limited to 6-10 pm. Shuttle service to the metro.
Cons: Advertises a restaurant and bar on site which is closed. That was disappointing. Please update website.
Location: Convenience stores,supermarket, restaurants close.
Staff were welcoming and friendly. Shuttle to Metro station with a 25-30 minute ride to center of DC. Breakfast included offered a good variety and was fresh. Good value for families. Helped to cool off in the indoor pool after a long day of site seeing, but would help to open pool a little earlier than 6 pm.
