The room was very large and they upgraded me to a king bed which was great. The floors need cleaning...the rug looked worn and needs to be replaced. Bathroom was very nice and shower was roomy. The air vent blew right on the bed with no way to adjust. The windows had great blackout blinds which you don't find in the states often.

It Felt Like Home Away from Home!

Posted Jan 26, 2015
Pros: The two things I liked most about the hotel were the staff and the super soft bed!
Location: The hotel is in walking distance from the U.S. Capitol as well as the Library of Congress. It is in a very convenient location.
I felt so welcomed from the moment I walked into the door! I traveled to D.C. for a work trip, and the hotel was near my meeting venue. It was beautifully decorated and the staff was so welcoming. I will definitely come again!

Pleasant, convenient and good value

Posted Jan 5, 2015
The hotel is well located, walking distance to the Mall and restaurants. Valet parking is free. Breakfast is quite adequate, and wine is served in the early evening. Its cost is very reasonable, really low for a downtown location. I intend to use the hotel on my future visits to DC.

Great location in D.C.

Posted Jan 3, 2015
Pros: Location, one block from Metro station, was great. Generous breakfast.
Cons: Room needed more lighting. No light in the dining alcove at all.
Location: Easy 2 block walk to The Mall. One block to Metro.
We, two adults and an eleven year old, spent 4 nights between Christmas and New Years.

Pros: Location - lots of room, nice kitchenette although we didn't use it.
Location: Close to attractions quant neighborhood with restaurants around the corner.
Great experience. Staff very helpful and nice. I found that it was cheaper to reserve through the hotel direct but it was too late to ask for refund.

Extremely nice hotel in the dead center of DC!

Posted Oct 29, 2014
Pros: The employees were all extremely helpful and kind. They had excellent recommendations on places to go to, routes to take, and restaurants to try.
Cons: It would be nice if there was an entry to the hotel dining place through the hotel itself rather than walking outside around the building to go eat.
Location: The hotel was in the heart of DC. I walked up a block to one of the city's main street and was able to walk down viewing all of the federal buildings.
I truly enjoyed my stay. The hotel was very clean and well-staffed. My room was bigger than I expected it to be and had an incredible view of the city. If you are a tourist looking for a hotel in the heart of DC near all the main attraction sites, this is the hotel to stay at.
