“Good DC Option”

DC Hotels tend to be overpriced in general. This is a good option, still centrally located and a few blocks from meto.

“Remodeled and ready to go”

This hotel has recently been completely remodeled and feels new and fresh. It includes an in-room refrigerator which was helpful for us. The breakfast is included and served in a smashing, modern room with a full array of food items. Impressive. The exercise room is well equipped and we used every day. It was conveniently located to the convention center for our purposes. It was an easy walk to the DC Mall and all the sites. The staff was most responsive. I requested a bath mat for our room. Although the remodeling didn't leave them with one on site, they purchased one by the end of the day and had it there for my bath the next morning. Most impressive! My only concern was that the room we had was a bit small for two; perfect for one. Just ask about the room size for your needs, but don't hesitate on this gem.

Dining
The Cozy Cafe on 10th between "L" and "M" was a convenient mid-way spot for eats between the hotel and convention center. Good food. Reasonable prices.

“Clean, comfortable place to stay”

Clean, comfortable rooms. The exceptional customer service, especially the friendly manager, made the stay much better. The location of the hotel is between 2 metro stops (convention center and mcphearson square), so it's still a short walk away. Although the neighborhood is a bit sketchy, I never felt unsafe walking back to my hotel at night. It's close enough to the national mall and other sightseeing places that you can walk if you want. Hotel's continental breakfast has a fairly good selection and even allows you to make your own waffles. The only thing that brought my rating of the hotel down is the fact that they are (still) doing construction throughout the hotel - front desk/lobby area and ripping out carpets on my floor. Also, my room originally didn't have a fridge in it when I checked in, but a day later, they entered my room (without asking) and put in the mini-fridge. I would have appreciated them asking me before coming into my room.

Area recommendations
National Mall, Georgetown
Getting there
Coming from the airport, take either yellow metro line to convention center and walk west to 13th and M, or take the blue metro line to McPhearson Square stop and walk north to 13th and M.
Getting around
Hotel is located in between 2 metro stops - convention center or McPhearson Square. It's close enough to walk to restaurants in chinatown/downtown and the national mall, although you may want to save your energy to walk around the museums. If you take the Old Town Trolley, they pick up at the Westin City Center at designated times.... only a few blocks away from the Comfort Inn.
Dining
Lots of close dining in downtown/chinatown areas.... matchbox (pizza and mini burgers) in chinatown, central michel richard and ceiba (finer dining) in downtown.

“Not the best...cheap price and cheap hotel”

My room was small and felt dingy. It was clean but felt very old and dark. i think the hotel definitely needs some remodeling to liven it up. For the price I paid (which wasn't the cheapest), I am sure I could have found a better accommodation elsewhere in DC too. The breakfast was standard, had some variety to it. The hotel has a great location but it does'nt give a very great feel! I will not be very happy staying there again!

“I'll ge back there again.”

My family had received such a good deal from an Expedia agent for a RT flight from Minneapolis to Washington DC with four nights in a hotel-that I thought something woujld have to be wrong with the actual trip. It turned out to be a smooth, remarkably wonderful trip with no surprises or disappointments. Expedia can't be beat, if you ask me. Like they said in the movies: I'll be back!

Area recommendations
There are some great neighborhoods for interesting and reasonably priced restaurants just a few blocks away from the Comfort Inn that are within a short walk or abbreviated cab ride. There is a tour bus pick-up less than two blocks away in a beautiful neighborhood with parks, beautiful buildings, houses of worship and restaurants.
When to go
This was my fourth trip to Washington DC during a November. This is an ideal month for someone like me who is not fond of crowds and long lines. The weather has always been wonderful, lines are virtually non existant at monuments, theatres, and other attractions. Cabs are readily available and the rates in the district are very fair compared to other big cities.
Must see
I've always been a big fan of the Smithsonian buildings especially the American History, Air & Space, and the art museums. My recent trip was my frirst time in the Newseum. For a news junkie and newspaper reader this is one of teh most fascinating museums you'll ever see. I spent a total of five hours, over two days, in there (your ticket is good for two days) and could have stayed longer. There are videos, special exhibits, a chunk of debris from round Zero, and a gallery featuring collection of newspapers dating back to the 1400s, and a spectacular view of Pennsyvania Ave. But that doesn't begin to count the sonders of the offerings this five-story building has to offer. Also saw, for the first time, new FDR memorial, Korean War Memorial and the new Lincoln museum in Ford's Theatre. I wish every American could visit Washington DC. To see the seat of government transcends politics. The museums, monuments, art and priceless historical artifacts are extraordinary, moving and make indelible marks on the heart, mind and soul.

“Washington trip”

The tv's need to be updated. Reception and picture were terrible. One hour requirement wait to get car delivered by valet is too long. Room was clean and complimentary hot breakfast was excellent. Overall a good experience. would use again.

“Very convenient to Downtown Washington DC”

Our stay at the Comfort Inn was perfect. The room was cozy but had everything that we needed. The choices at the complimentary Breakfast Buffet were good and were replenished frequently. The location was easy walking distance to the Mall and Museums.

“Good serviceable business hotel”

You aren't going to stay here to be wrapped in luxury, but if you're a business traveler this may be a better choice than some of the nicer boutique hotels in the area. Why? Free breakfast and free wi-fi that actually works, two things you will be hard pressed to find in the 'better' downtown DC hotels.

“Just for sleep”

Hotel is just fine, excellent location just few blocks away from local landmarks. Breakfast was good and had several options. If you are going for staying out all day and find a good bed at night, this is the rig place for you. Is not recommended if you are going with children because Room are too small.

Area recommendations
The mall, aarlington cemetery, smithsonian museums. Do not take double decker bus, tooks too long to arrive and you waist too much time waiting for it to arrive. Better take subway or bus, whic are clean, fast and cheap.
