Great stay for the price

Posted Sep 1, 2014
Pros: The staff, the room.
Cons: The room air conditioning system.
Location: Du Pont Circle has many nice restaurants and the neighborhood north of the hotel -- around R & S street has become very trendy
This hotel is convenient to the White House & Mall, Du Pont Circle -- it's very clean and the staff is great. The room was more than adequate and at a great rate. They were repairing an elevator which was a bit of an inconvenience. The windows don't open and I found the AC is a little loud -- that's the only downside.

Nice hotel with some reservations and concerns

Posted Jul 16, 2014
Pros: Manners and friendliness of staff and location
Cons: Deliver what you promise
Location: Visited our son, a university professor, and visited iconic sites
Having put $1400.00 deposit for room via Expedia over a month in advance, we discovered it was not the room we thought we were getting. VERY small room with two beds occupying essential the whole room. No place to sit except at uncomfortable desk chair or on the beds (versus the floor!). My wife and I have have stayed in expensive hotels and spartan hotels and generally we are not demanding folks; however we think this room and SMALL bathroom were carved out of the overall building as an afterthought. The staff was nice and apologized; we thought the class thing to do was to stoically stick it out. For the future: Live and learn and catalogue experiences.

It is not worth the price. The hotel smelled of marijuana at times. The sirens were heard easily in the rooms.

Kristy, On behalf of our entire team, I would like to apologize for failing to exceed your expectations. Recently we did have a guest violate our non-smoking policy, due to the odor metro police department was alerted to handle that particular guest. Your satisfaction is important to us and we will be using the feedback you provided to make improvements to ensure we offer an exceptional experience for our guests in the future.

Very comfortable and plush

Posted Jun 23, 2014
Pros: Comfortable , clean and friendly.
Cons: Breakfast was very disappointing - all plastic crockery & cutlery with sugary food. So tacky and wasteful having plastic plates and bowls thrown away
Location: Reasonably central - need to get a cab into town unless you like walking.
A pleasure - comfy , pleasant and modern. The only let down was the breakfast - please use some china rather than plastic.

Nice Hotel for a Good Price

Posted Jun 16, 2014 on Hotels.com
This was our first trip to D.C. We didn't spend a lot of time in our room, so it was perfect for what we were looking for. The beds were very comfortable and the shower was excellent. There isn't a lot of closet space or room on the counter in the bathroom, but it's easy to work around. The hotel is within walking distance of the Metro, which was a big plus for us, and it was close to most of the attractions and monuments. I would stay here again.

DC trip

Posted Jun 8, 2014 on Hotels.com
It was our first time in DC. We were placed on the 2nd floor facing a building we were hoping for a better view. Front desk was very helpful and friendly. Room was a bit small and a little worse for wear. Carpets not very clean. Found what looked like old gum in the carpet. We didnt bother to ask to move since we drove about 13hrs and were tired and figured we wouldnt be in the room much anyway. Once we became familiar with the city we found that we were pretty close to some of the sites and the metro so it was pretty convenient. What I consider the best part of the hotel was the front desk. The ladies were fantastic.
