Nice hotel if you need to stay in this area

Posted May 20, 2015
Pros: Great staff, nice clean rooms
Cons: Breakfast arrangement was clunky and unexpected.
Location: Nothing very close unless you have business at the IRS offices
Was only here for one night but it was pleasant. Arrived late but found friendly staff and was upgraded to a suite. Made me wish I was staying longer. A rather long walk to the elevator but room was spacious, clean and totally acceptable. Beds very comfortable. Breakfast served in a breakfastarea but nothing was included - everything cost money. This is OK as long as understood from time of booking, but the online booking info made it sound like some level of breakfast was included - it is not. Location is roughly ahalf mile from New Carrollton Metro.

NICE HOTEL, IDEAL LOCATION FOR US

Posted Mar 3, 2015
Pros: IDEAL LOCATION DC/METRO AREA WHILE WE ARE IN TRANSIENT FOR OUR BUSINESS TRIPS
Cons: PERHAPS, PERIODIC FLOOR MONITORING IN THE EVENT OTHER GUESTS, KIDS, ETC. ARE RUNNING ABOUT, BOUNCING BALLS, ETC.
Location: VERY CONVENIENT LOCATION AND ACCESSIBLE TO RESTAURANTS, METRO RAIL/BUS, MAJOR INTERSTATE, ETC.
THIS IS OUR 3RD STAY AT THE HOTEL...THE FIRST STAY WAS RATHER UNSETTLING....APPARENTLY THERE WERE A SPORT TOURNAMENT OR EVENT OF SOME SORT.... YOUNGSTERS/TEENS WERE IN THE HALLWAYS EITHER RUNNING, RUNNING WITH THE BOUNCING OF BALLS AND ALMOST CONSTANT ROOM DOORS BEING SLAMMED...HOWEVER, FOR THE CONVENIENCE, IDEAL LOCATION WHILE IN THE DC/METRO AREA WE DECIDED TO UTILIZE THIS HOTEL AGAIN....2ND AND 3RD STAY WERE MORE ENJOYABLE AND HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO REST, RELAX ....

A nice surprise.

I was expecting a good hotel, just because of the Courtyard name. This property far exceeded those expectations. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room clean and comfortable, the bed luxurious, and the crab cakes were delicious.

Good Location; few staff

Travelers to Washington will like this hotel - it is just off the Beltway close to New Carrollton Metro Station, and the train goes right to the National Mall and Smithsonian. However, it is also understaffed, especially at the restaurant they call the Bistro. One woman last night, one man this morning did all the work: cashier, cvook, server, and cleaning tables. Management seriously needs to hire more staff.

Nice, clean and conveniently located.

Pros: Proximity to the train station and friendly staff
Cons: I stayed in a room close to the ice machine and laundry. A bit nosy at night.
Location: Easy to get to Washington DC
Very helpful staff. The hotel is very, very close to the train station. The hotel is quiet.
