We were there for 3 nights. 1- The last night there was heavy winds and it felt like the windows would break. Hard to sleep with all that noise. When we were getting ready to leave , I looked out our window to check our car and found that the window at top was not latched- thus could be part of the noise factor. 2- We received no clean linens or towels while there. 3- On our 7 hr. trip to get there, I received a text that the restaurant was being renovated so only a small breakfast pickkup would be provided. 4- I had called about an indoor pool that was advertised. It was confirmed . Our NCAA Tournament that we were attending in College Park ran late every night. The pool closed at 8:00 PM so we never got to use the pool, one of the main reasons I chose the motel. There were 2 other motels next door, but no restaurant nor pool. Pluses- was convenient to College and was close to interstate access.

Our restaurant area has been closed for dinner since 2020 and will reopen for dinner later this year. We do serve both a hot Al La Carte breakfast and a continental complimentary breakfast to provide a variety of options for our guest. Our pool area does have the set hours for cleaning purposes. We make sure we take care of our pool in the evening hours so the pool may be available for the guest the next morning.

I would not recommend this hotel. We had just stayed at a Sonesta in Fairfax and it was lovely. This property in Greenbelt, MD had so many issues. While some of these may seem petty, I think it was the culmination of all of these things that really began to frustrate me. Rooms were mediocre with the furniture not being that clean and the beds terribly uncomfortable. There was a plastic baggie wrapped with an elastic around the smoke detector in our room. The elevator closest to us worked when we first arrived and then was out of order the remainder of our stay. All of the side doors were not working for two days, so although our room was in the very back of the hotel we had to utilize the front door. The door to the pool did not work for three days. There is no bathroom anywhere near the pool so if you have children be prepared to walk them around the whole dang hotel to the lobby bathroom in wet bathing suits. Things were forgotten to be put out each morning for the continental breakfast (and with some staff attitude we were made to feel like a burden requesting items). These items included the toaster for bagels one morning, bowls for the cereal, butter, no coffee one morning, coffee cups, napkins and more, but you get the point. It was a rough stay overall. I would have left had there been a way to get a refund.

The doors are locked from 11pm to 7am for entry and we ask that all guest use the front door to enter the hotel. We do have two elevators on site for guests use. Our continental breakfast is a hot commodity and can go fast. We hope that you will give our hotel another try for your future lodging needs.

Staffs were helpful. However, I didn’t know you needed to ask for a microwave before you get one in a standard room. Also the phone didn’t work, I had to go the reception to ask my questions.

When I arrived the loud piercing fire alarm was blaring. The front desk said it would be more than two hours until a technician could arrive to work on it. So I did not check in because the entire property was subject to it.

The hotel doesn't look appealing outside but the inside is nice and the rooms are nice and clean. My issue was the $20 per hr. they want to greedily charge to check on early. I've never paid a fee to check in early. even at major hotels that were more expensive and more stars. My next issue was the $150 hold along with a second $100 hold on my card. I booked 2 rooms so in addition to 2 seperate room charges they placed 4 authorization holds totaling $500. The breakfast was basically bread, fruit and water, juice, coffee.

1. Changed rooms at 10pm the first night because mattress was worn and pillows were "empty." 2. Second room at 6am 2024-02-27 had no hot water. Had to wait approximately 30 minutes for hot water delivery. 3. Return to hotel before 6pm 2024-02-27 to find myself locked out of room and had to have key card reset. 4. Guest trash bags in hallway. 5. Second room at 5:45 am 2024-02-28 had no hot water. Had to change to a third room to have a hot shower. 6. Breakfast area did not have napkins 2024-02-28. Requested napkins from both house keeping staff and galley staff. Requests were unfulfilled. A loud request to front desk resulted in front desk staff supplying continental breakfast with paper towels. 7. Requested opportunity to speak with manager. Was told that manager arrived at 7am. At 7:45am manager was not available. Front desk staff indicated that there was "no mechanism" for lodging a complaint, that I needed to wait for manager. I resorted to calling hotel at 1-800-766-3782 and lodging a complaint with "reservations" staff. 8. Front desk staff informed me that they had no authority to adjust my room rate because I booked with Expedia. 9. Sonesta demanded I provide my credit card for "incidentals" that coincidentally was approximately the same as my 2 night stay. I never before have been assessed an "incidentals" charge when using third party travel services. 10. Without advance notice, hotel only services room every third day.

Despite the person on the shift before her canceling the reservation (even when I called earlier to tell them we woild be a late arrival), she put us in a room and was very cordial and present. She put in notes for her manager Janay, to help us with the logistical snafu and lack of running hot water! We need more front desk folks like Sage!
