Nice Hotel with minimal checkin issuesPosted Jul 21, 2015
Pros: Location and convenience
Cons: Better communication with reservations.
Location: We were down for a wedding so didn't spend a lot of time around this specific location.
I booked two double bed rooms for three nights and requested adjoining for the comfort of family and small kids. Unlike the majority of hotels, they were able to confirm and acknowledge this request. So that was a huge reason why we went with this hotel. Location was great and very convenient to the surrounding hotels/shops/restaurants etc. The only issue is when we checked in late (1145ish pm) we learned that they checked in my brother into the wrong adjoining room. They were able to fix it but I had to wake my brother and father to move rooms at midnight. A little inconvenient but not a huge issue. Would definitely call ahead of time and confirm reservations.

Marriott Crystal CityPosted Jul 16, 2015
Pros: The room was comfortable, and the staff was very friendly.
Cons: The quality of the buffet breakfast needs a major overhaul.
Location: This hotel was close to Reagan Airport, the nightly charge was reasonable, and the free shuttle service to the airport was a welcomed treat.
Aside from the less-than-decent buffet served in the restaurant, my family and I enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The shuttle bus to the airport was a welcomed treat, and our driver was friendly and courteous. I would not recommend the restaurant, but the omelet I had was delicious! For $18, about the only benefit to purchasing the buffet was the unlimited access to juices and coffee. Every item on the menu seemed overpriced to me, but I come from a city where buffets are about $8 for breakfast, and the overall selection is terrific.

Good valuePosted Jul 14, 2015
Quiet, convenient to the Metro and top end restaurants in Crystal City. Also within walking distance of numerous ethnic restaurants on 23rd St.

DisappointedPosted Jul 13, 2015
Stayed here before and this stay was upsetting. They charged me twice for the room and breakfast. Breakfast was included in our stay and they still charged me. I had to go to the front desk 3 times during my stay to have them fix mistakes and extra charges placed on my bill. Staff must have been in training because they messed up alot. Usually like my stay here but this time was disappointed. Don't like that u have to sign a receipt at breakfast that shows a charge although u have complimentary breakfast.

OK hotel but bad servicePosted Jul 6, 2015
Pros: Location is OK, near Metro so easy access to DC area.
Cons: If your staff can not complete the request being asked, be honest. Don't promise as if you will do it.
Location: Crystal city shops, Metro to DC.
We stayed two nights there. I paid two days for parking in their garage ($26) and I asked twice whether I can still park there after checking out, they said "yeah yeah yeah yeah, of course". But of course no one told me I'll be charged for extra if I park there literally more than 48 hrs. You can blame me "not experienced with big-city parking system", but I would recommend you not to use theirs if you can find a better public parking in Crystal city. Also, we have two toddlers, so in order to make sure we'll have two cribs in the room for the kids, we called before arriving (fire code safety already checked by their staff), and asked twice during the stay and they just can't bring a second one.

Can you believe they charge you $26/day parking???Posted Jul 3, 2015
Pros: Only the bed and it was close to the airport.
Cons: Don't charge for parking when rooms are so expensive.
After the high room rate they charge so very much for parking. I was shocked. Staff uninformed where restaurants and gas stations were for rental cars.

Very nice place close to downtownPosted Jun 30, 2015
We were in town four days to do some sightseeing. For the deal we got, the place was great. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean and spacious. Staff was always friendly and helpful. Only downside was the extra charges. Cost $100 total to park there for four nights. Also, they don't offer free Wifi in the rooms. But we weren't in the room long enough to be bothered by that. Overall, very pleased with our stay.

Nice hotel in a convenient locationPosted Jun 24, 2015
Pros: Staff Location Price
Cons: Free Wi-Fi would be nice
Location: Good location for us since there was a shuttle to the airport and the Metro station was basically in the basement of the hotel.
Great experience from check-in to check-out. Debra checked us in and was amazing! She was very informative about the hotel and about the DC area and the Metro train and she was so nice to our boys and even gave them some beach balls to play with in the pool. The room was modern and clean. The indoor pool was nice and there was a lifeguard, so it was good for kids. The location above the underground shops and with the Metro station below was very convenient. There were several decent chain restaurants nearby and a Dunkin Donuts in the underground shops and the room service from the hotel restaurant was good and was delivered quickly. The location near Reagan National Airport with shuttle service to and from the hotel was also convenient for us. My only complaint would be lack of free wi-fi, but I knew that before booking, so it wasn't a surprise.
