“Great place to stay!”

Modern, but not over the top. Great service! The concierge was very helpful in getting us dinner reservations on a very busy weekend. The room was great too. The only downfall was the coffee in the room cost money. The Japanese restaurant in the hotel was wonderful! Hope to go back again sometime.

“Capitol Hill -- Reasonable Bill”

While it's not exactly on the Hill, it is very centrally located with easy access to all of NW DC. As with all Thompson Hotels, DH provides the chicest of surroundings. We were fortunate enough to scoop an amazing deal on Expedia which made this the best deal in town (price/quality wise). Its a wonderful hotel in every almost way. The one criticism we had (and its a minor one) was that the bathroom equipment (towels/soap/shampoo) were a little on the stingy side, and we found ourselves rationing/needing to request extra... Also, the food -- (which can be ordered in from local restaurants recommended by the hotel) in our case an Italian across the road -- was extortionately overpriced given the quality... But that's not really the DH's fault!

Everything is great about this hotel. It's modern, clean, great staff polite but not stuck up. Check out the roof top bar, awesome!

“What a Great Stay!!”

The hotel was a great place to stay. The rooms were very unique;accented with its futuristic design the room was very comfortable and very clean. The spiral shower was a blast to use and the king size bed was very easy to sleep in. It is in a great downtown location very close to everything. I would recommend this hotel for anyone seeking a new and exciting experience.

“Close to Everything!”

the hotel was great. The only complaint is the restaurant was not open yet. Hotel is only 5 months old and the restaurant is still under construction. They plan to open around November. We would most definitely stay there again.

i enjoyed my stay at Donovan, the staffs were friendly and helpful. the room might be a bit small, but the decor make it looks spacious.

Great Hotel, great location. Must be one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in so far. The friendliness and helpfulness of staff was exceptional.

We enjoyed staying at the hotel. Everyone was very helpful. The hotel had features we had not seen before. Walk in showers rectangular bathroom sink The decor was very interesting and a change from the standard hotel room. One has to use ones key to use the elevator. There are very nice restaurants within walking distance and the restaurant in the hotel was very good. Bring your own snacks so you won't be tempted by all of the goodies displayed in the room.

“Great hotel”

This was a great hotel and will expect it to be better. Any hotel has it's downfalls during construction (noise of hammers and drills) and that was the only negative part of my stay. That said, the Donovan House still ranks as one of my favorite hotels I have stayed in. The upgrade of having the restaurant and lounge will make it all the better next visit! Highly recommend it, the staff was wonderful and always friendly and helpful!!
