“There is no comparison & I will not stay in any other location in the future”
This hotel is everything we ever wanted. The location and surrounding neighborhood was perfect. We walked all around the area and their were shops and eateries everywhere. The entire area is very clean and we felt very safe. The hotel was outstanding. There was a dedicated security team constantly walking around the hotel. The breakfast was plentiful and the Manager's Reception, held every day in the afternoon, was perfect timing after a long day's visit to D.C. The trip on the subway to the National Mall was quick and cheap, $1.85 one way, and allowed us to keep our car in the parking garage downstairs. The indoor pool, on the penthouse level, was a nice touch and allowed us to swim during the cool weather outside. Our room was immaculate and we loved the suite setup, which gives you a lot more room for the family to enjoy and the convenience of having multiple rooms when sleeping. The front desk staff was very cordial and made our experience go smooth and efficient. We couldn't have asked for a more comfortable experience, thanks to Embassy Suites, and the name of my review says it all.
“Great place for family vacation”
We enjoyed our 3 night stay here. We were sad to leave and will stay here again. The hotel staff were very friendly, room was clean and comfortable, and the location ideal with the metro station down below. We learned to use the metro the first day out to DC.
“Great hotel and convenient location”
Perfect for business travel - they have free high speed internet in the rooms via ethernet and also wireless access but that's an extra charge. they also offer a complimentary happy hour that I couldn't attend because I had to do some work in the evening, and a great complimentraly breakfast cooked to order. the room was very nice - wetbar and sitting room separate from the bedroom. The sitting room also had a nice work space. And the alarm clock in the bedroom had a jack for me to plug in my ipod; would have been nice if the living room had the same, but oh well. the staff were very helpful, and in fact when I tried to tip the bellhop for storing my luggage he wouldn't take a tip. One negative - room service sucked. the service itself was good but the food was awful, and of course the prices were outrageous.
“Comfortable, clean, great location!”
This is a unique set up for a hotel. It is actually inside the mall, but surprisingly quiet and private. Close to fine dining, obviously shopping, and a short metro trip to any and all monuments, museums, etc. Staff was kind and helpful. Rooms very nice, clean, and bed was extremely comfortable. No complaints. Would definitely return.
“This is the place to stay!”
This Embassy Suites was a fantastic hotel. A few metro stops outside the DC area but well worth the extra few minutes. We travelled with our 10 year old who really enjoyed the pool, and game station in the room. Made to order breakfast each morning was over the top!! Convenient access to metro...right in hotel. Excellent stores on first two floors...gave discounts to hotel visitors. Front desk staff greeted us by name when passing by, everyone is important to them! Would highly recommend!
“excellent value in Friendship Hts/Chevy Chase”
This hotel feels bright, new and well-kept. It is across the road from the Friendship Hts metro stop and an easy walk to shopping and restaurants in Chevy Chase. The comprehensive breakfast buffet (included in our room rate) featured omelets cooked to order along with a complete array of breads, cereals and fruit. Suites are large, our bed was very comfortable, and all the plumbing was in perfect order.
“Wonderful D.C. hotel”
We loved being able to get on the Metro right below the hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hot breakfast and happy hour snacks were excellent for our family. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Washington DC.
“Great Hotel - Excellent Service and Value”
What can I say? This hotel was everything it advertised and more. Not only is this hotel next to the metro, its attached to the metro, you don't even need to go outside to get to the hotel. On the lower level is a mall, a high end one at that, but the hotel is quiet and the area well designed for noise. Breakfast was awesome, made to order omelets, pancakes and other stuff. Each night was a cocktail reception, the hotel was close to DC and only a short metro ride to downtown. The staff was all polite and friendly and beyond courteous. They were genuinely nice, not forced nice. The room itself was wonderful, flat panel television, true suit with two rooms, a nice bathroom and a wet bar, uber comfy couch, very nice shower, and a nice sized desk. I think my only complaint might be that the internet wasn't free, but whatever its a vacation, they offer free net in their business center. Definitely a good bet.
“Excellent service and great location.”
This is our fourth stay at the Embassy Suites Chevy Chase Pavillion and we will stay here again. The service is excellent, the breakfast is superb and the location is great. Just two blocks from the Metro - very convenient.
“Great Hotel”
Great Hotel for the price. Nice location if you don't want to be right in the heart of the city chaos - the subway is right under the hotel, can be somewhat confusing to get your ticket at first but there are usually helpful people around. Excellent shopping and restaurants nearby. Awesome awesome free breakfast in the morning - just about every breakfast food you can think of.
