“Embassy Suites NW D.C.”
Good, clean, hospitable hotel, and a good price too, the folks in the lounge were especially friendly and welcoming - and kudos to the Bar Manager for giving us a discount on the overpriced margaritas when we mentioned it...and to the bartender who was very cheery and even took a picture of us to boot :)
“Very nice hotel”
Walking distance of everything (20 minutes or so ). Close to circulator stops, best way to move around. People are extremely servicial. Breakfast is great!!!
“DC Sightseeing”
The staff was great. The food from Finn and Porter was very good. The only problems that we had was that the hot water would run out and no matter how low the thermostat was set - the room was still warm. Great location and everyone was very friendly.
“great location all sorts of amenities”
Went on a short family vacation with 11 people, ages 70 to 4. Everyone loved it. Location, breakfast, cocktail hour, pool rooms and restaurant were great. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Would go back.
“Washington with the kids”
This was an excellent hotel and the hotel staff seemed to go out of their way to be sure we all had a great stay. A+ to all the staff. This trip was for pleasure with spouse and two pre-teen kids and all had a wonderful time. The property was very clean, conveniently located to sites we wanted to see and only 1 1/2 blocks from the Metro station that got us everywhere we wanted to be in DC. Chinatown and shopping were a few blocks away. The food in the restaurant and room service were better than expected and the pool and other amenities were all far above average. The only drawback was that this hotel has no wireless access in the rooms and the wired internet connection didn't work at all for our entire stay. Would have been nice to have the internet connectivity to make some last minute plans. Other than lack of internet access , this was a great hotel and would definitely return again and certianly recommend to others.
“a great place and a great value.”
Loved everything about it.
“Very nice experience. Especially comfortable for traveling with children”
Great
“Great location”
WE loved being able to walk to most tourist sites. There were many excellent, inexpensive restaurants nearby as well. Of course the Metro was just a few blocks away, so if our feet were sore, we could get back to the hotel quickly. The free, delicous breakfasts and free happy hours were a great bonus as well. Definitely will come back!
“Very Nice Hotel”
Stayed here for the weekend. Room was perfect for our family of four (2 teens). Beds were comfortable, seperate room with 2nd TV was awesome. Breakfast was great but Sunday was very crowded and had long lines. Location was ok. Close enough to walk to everything but not much to do right around the hotel. We thought there would more restaurants within a block or 2 from the hotel but we only found a few asian/japanese places about 3 blocks away so we ate there 2 nights....both places were very good. There was some construction going on around the hotel and Saturday night I head jack hammering all night long. Pool was small and my 2 teen kids were not impressed. We did not go in the hot tub because it was cloudy and very foamy. Overall, nice place to stay with a family and we would stay again.
“Very satisfied”
Family of 4 stayed for 3 nights. Loved the location near National Mall, Metro station and restaurants. The staff, especially Robby at the front desk, were extremely polite and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling with a family. The included breakfast could have been better laid out - the most popular food items (waffles and french toast) were crammed into a corner and were hard to get to. And the food quality was only OK. The pool is a total joke and the spa was cold. We were looking forward to relaxing in the spa after a long day only to find the water colder than the pool and smelling of soap. It was terrible. But we still recommned this hotel for its location and staff.
