Great place to stay - home away from homePosted Jan 16, 2015
Pros: We were made to feel special and its a wonderful place to stay.
Location: Great choice of restaurants within two blocks. Metro stations are within quick walking distance. All tourist sites are close by.
So many good things to say. Fantastic warm welcome from the front desk staff ( Sergio especially ) that continued to assist and help make our stay memorable. In fact all the staff from the concierge, porters, waiters right through to cleaning staff were friendly and made us feel at home. Unique lobby / atrium and dining area that completely relaxes and takes you away from the city environment. Spacious, very comfortable suites that provided a luxury feel. Fantastic variety and choice from the breakfast buffet that catered for a families various tastes

I had the worst room in the entire building.Posted Jan 6, 2015
I asked to switch my room and the stuff told me it's sold out. I called with different phone number and found out they still have room available. I stayed there 3 times and enjoyed every minute but this time I had the worst time ever. To be honest I don't think I will stay at this hotel ever again.

four nights in DCPosted Jan 6, 2015
Pros: The location was OK. You can walk to Georgetown and Du Point circle.
Cons: Replace the old carpets and old bed-covers.
The Hotel is quite dated and in need of some refurbishing. The carpets and bedcovers could all be replaced. The bathrooms too. Overall the place is OK but on our two first days there the place was fully booked and so the breakfast buffet was just mayhem! It was complete chaos and huge lines. Everything ran out and the poor waiters could not refill the various stations quick enough. It was a crazy scene. The Hotel definitely needs to have some contingency plans for breakfast on fully booked days. Also parking was not included and was very, very expensive. Not sure it would be different at other hotels but for sure keep in mind that parking will be a substantial amount.

Plenty of SpacePosted Jan 4, 2015
Centrally located, very helpful and friendly staff, space was plentiful; room could use updating and thorough cleaning. Two pairs of socks, not ours, one in closet one in drawer. Shower pressure very low and no adjustment for temperature of heat or a/c, only 70 degrees. Breakfast decent but overly crowded.

D.C. Christmas VacationPosted Jan 2, 2015
Pros: Breakfast and Suites
Cons: Upgrade the carpet and popcorn ceiling.
Location: Downtown D.C.
Our family chose to do a trip to D.C. as a gift this year for Christmas. (One can only get so many ties as a gift!)When we travel we always stay at Embassy Suites if possible. The cook to order breakfast and suite are the reasons why. The breakfast and room were both great. With this hotel you do have to do some walking to get to the metro. We walked to the White House and back on Christmas night to see the National Tree. It was a long way so don't let the ads fool you about the distance. The hotel in general is dated and needs to be upgraded. the carpet in our room was torn and the popcorn ceiling is unappealing but is in good shape. The staff was excellent and cleaned our room well for us. All in all this was a worth while place to stay.

Excellent for families. Our party, 2 adults and 3 children, fit comfortably. Staff very extremely helpful when my car needed jump-start for a dead battery. Parking space is tight, but this is reality in D.C. Very convenient to Georgetown area. Hot breakfast, but come early before it gets heavy traffic, esp. omelet section. Happy hour, very relaxed for both adults and children.

Pros: Location and price.
Cons: Breakfast set up.
Good location. Close to Metro. I booked this for a family trip. It was significantly cheaper than any other place I looked so for the price it meets the expectation. They offer complimentary breakfast and happy hour. Unfortunately set up for breakfast is awful. You need to wait a while in line. For some reason don't have enough seating available. For a family of 5 it was challenging to find seating. There are tables without chairs which does not make sense.
