“Difficulty finding my reservation initiaally and then they charged my CC 100 USD for no reason”
Some of the staff members are not friendly. The hotel charged my credit card account the amount of 100 USD although the reservation was fully paid via Expedia.
“Very impressed with the hotel and Georgetown location”
Georgetown is a lovely area of Washington with boutique shopping and great restaurants. The hotel is well positioned with good facilities. Staff are very friendly and we were made to feel very welcome from day 1. The rooms very quite big with kitchenette and free Wi Fi. Breakfast was included in the price which was a great saving when you're travelling. I would recommend this hotel and area if you are in Washington.
“Great location, good value.”
The location is great, it's right in the middle of everything and the metro in the city is not too far away if you don't mind walking. The room was very big and comfortable for the money and the breakfast was good too.
“Georgetown Suites Harbour”
We enjoyed and would recommend this hotel, which is actually "suite" rooms with a small kitchen in both rooms we saw. Not a lot of ambiance, but very clean and well outfitted. It is an older building but the rooms are well furnished and well maintained, but a bit "retro". Our rooms looked right out onto the #29 highway and K street, but noise was not a problem. This is a all non-smoking hotel which is nice. The AC was not working in our first room, and maintainence responded promptly (on a Friday afternoon!) and we were then moved to another, larger room. The staff were all really nice. Wireless internet and use of the business center printer is free. The complimentary continental breakfast that they offer has lots of options and a quite satisfying start to the day. The hotel is about a 5 minute walk down K street to George Washington University and the Foggy Bottom Metro station. If you need groceries, there is a Trader Joes on 25th in Foggy Bottom and a small Safeway in the lower level of the Watergate, just south of the hotel.
“excellent value for money”
Great location in relation to Georgetown shopping and restaurants, and the Mall, really nice staff, good breakfast. One bedroom rooms excellent for families. Rooms nice, clean and adequate, but nothing luxurious. Great value for money and would defnitely go back if travelling with kids
“Convenient Georgetown hotel.”
Very nice rooms (large and clean), good price and a great location in center of Georgetown! Short walk to metro. Small front desk and public area similar to a European hotel.
“Outstanding Value in Georgetown”
Excellent value, great location (on 29th Street on eastern edge of Georgetown, can walk to Foggy Bottom, White House etc.), very large suite with full kitchen, great bed, pillows, bathroom. And it's very quiet. I've been going to D.C. for business and pleasure for over 30 years and never stayed here before. This will be my number one choice now.
“Very good option”
The hotel is very fine, well located and furnished and the service is very attentive. The only problem I had was to get a receipt of what I have paid, because I forgot asking that at the check out. I am still waiting for that.
“Great deal!”
The hotel is great: excellent location, a short walk to Metro station. The room was big and clean and the hotel staff was very friendly. We definitely recommend it!
“Comfortable, Convenient, & Affordable”
After having a little trouble finding the front door--it's set back a bit from the street--I was welcomed and swiftly checked in. Staff members were friendly and accommodating. My room had a large bed and a full kitchen and bath. Since they offered a generous breakfast spread, I didn't make much use of the kitchen, but it was nice to have. Breakfast offered cereals and yogurts, tea or coffee from an espresso machine, milk and juices, bagels, poptarts, or toast with cream cheese, jams, and peanut butter. Apples and bananas were also on offer. So, there was plenty to choose from. It's a short walk away from M street in Georgetown with all its restaurants and shops. My only complaint was that there were some glitches when I asked them to call a taxi. Once it didn't come and the clerk told me I should just walk up to M street. Once, they called a car service rather than the taxi I specified to take me to the airport. So, that ended up costing more than I had planned. The business center offered a couple of computers and a printer/scanner. It would have been nice if there were some printed instructions offered on how to scan etc and if the paper trays had been stocked, but it met my needs. Overall a very positive and comfortable experience!
