“Quick trip”

Possibly one of the best locations to stay in downtown DC! We were taking our children to the Verizon Center for an event and wanted to tour the Smithsonian museums as well. We could safely walk everywhere from our hotel! The staff was extremely wonderful in providing us with an area map that had approximate walking times to surrounding locations. If we chose to take the metro, that was no problem. It was right downstairs! Upon our arrival, our youngest child was ill, and they went out of their way to make us comfortable and provide any assistance we may have needed. As any parent can vouch, that puts your mind to ease. I would definitely recommend this hotel. When we go back again, this will be the only place we stay!

“Grand Hyatt Washington at Metro Center”

There is a construction site close to the hotel. Sometimes it was noisy, especially at night. Other than that everything was very good.

“Absolutely the best experience!”

We checked in rather late on a Saturday night. I'd called ahead to make sure they were going to hold our reservation and they assured me that they would. when we arrived, the lady at the front desk said, "We are all booked up for tonight. But we'd like to give you the Presidential Suite." Well, ok. If you must. It. Was. Fabulous. Even the next night when we were moved to our commoners' room, it was still pretty great. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable. Every single staff member we met in the halls said hello. The location can't be beat. Two blocks from Chinatown, a ten minute walk to the White House, and the Metro is located right downstairs. I was just thrilled with our stay at the Grand Hyatt. We'll definitely stay there again.

“No hot tub :(”

My only disappointment was that there was no hot tub! I thought there was...I was travelling with someone who has some health issues, and a soak in a hot tub after walking for hours throught the capital would've made a big difference!

Excellent location-at Metro Center-easy to get around the city and surrounding areas-very clean room-helpfuf staff- food at local eateries better than at the hotel-and less expensive (only negative)--would come back again--my wife took pix of the Xmas tree-outstanding

“Terrific value”

Terrific hotel for families. Nice rooms. Great location. Convenient 24-hr access to business office. Terrific and friendly staff. Pricey food in hotel but lots of alternatives in the neighborhood. Metro entry directly from hotel was a convenient feature especially during a winter visit. Gym adequate although pool small and no jacuzzi. Overall terrific value relative to cost.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt. It was super affordable for a very nice hotel. The only negative is that you have to pay to access the wifi in the room. Other than that, we loved this hotel, and would gladly stay here again.
