Very nice hotel within walking distance to all major attractions in DC. Only mishap was the check-out process that was slow.

Possibly best hotel in washington

Posted Dec 21, 2014
The Grand Hyatt is situated 3 blocks off Chinatown and is walking distance to many attractions and the Whitehouse. The metro is just below it..making it all too convenient to go everwhere. Hotel is quiet and froendly staff to assist you. Only issue is that hotel wifi comes with a fee which should be free to guest....

Duntin the manager was incredibly helpful!

Dustin when a confusion came up on the room for a brief business trip, completely took care of us. We always enjoy staying in Hyatt, and customer service such as Dustin provided is exactly why I know we are in good hands every time.

Best reasonably priced hotel in DC

Posted Dec 8, 2014
I've paid more to stay at hotels in DC of half the quality of the Grand Hyatt. Excellent staff, excellent venue. It will be my preference to stay here going forward.

Great Location in DC

Posted Dec 2, 2014
Pros: We loved the location, and the room was nice.
Cons: If you want clean towels everyday of your visit, let the staff know. I also wish the bathroom had a towel ring for the hand towel.
Location: Ford's Theater, Peterson House, shopping, restaurants, Chinatown, walking distance to Smithsonian museums, memorials
If you want to stay in a hotel that is centrally-located, the Grand Hyatt Washington is your hotel! The MetroCenter Metro station is UNDER the hotel! It just doesn't get any more convenient than that. We stayed for five nights and could walk or take the Metro anywhere we wanted to go. Make sure you get an interior room if you don't like traffic noise (I'll know next time). The exterior rooms don't really give you any view of the city because it's between other tall buildings.

Very personable staff in ALL aspects of the hotel!

Posted Dec 1, 2014
Pros: Mostly the staff & the location.
Cons: We were quite pleased with everything.
Location: Around the corner from Ford's theater & the house where Lincoln died.
We found this to be a very nice hotel within walking distance to many of the D.C. attractions. The convenience of being on top of the Metrocenter made metro travel SO easy. The staff at the hotel (from the bellman to the shop owner in the lobby) was very nice to us especially our 11 & 6 year old children. The breakfast buffet is a MUST & well worth it! I suggest including it in the cost of your room as it is a better buy!

Great location on metro stop

Posted Nov 30, 2014
Cons: WiFi should be included as part of the room fee.
Location: Perfect location. With the Metro being attached to the hotel, this is easy access to the Mall, museums and pretty much anything one would want to do.
The staff was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Visited during a holiday weekend, so the normal business occupancy was low. However, it was obvious that the hotel staff wanted to leave a memorable impression. I would definitely be back. The only downside is that I think WiFi should be included in one's stay and not be an extra charge, especially for Hyatt Passport holders.

Great downtown location

Posted Nov 27, 2014
The hotel was a good experience on aggregate. Our coffee machine didn't work, and the packets were all decaf. There was exposed pvc pipe under the bathroom sink. The pool hours were limited. But at the end of the day, you can't beat the location.

Little noisy

Posted Nov 25, 2014
Very nice rooms. Very friendly staff at the restaurant "Cruse" and at the 12th floor lounge. However, the water pressure and amounts of hot water was poor. Also, the noise level was distracting. Very thin walls. Every door slam and conversation was clearly heard. We were in room 1277, an interior room that also exposed us to noise from the atrium. Great location and staff.
