Conference with State Department

Posted Jan 20, 2015
Pros: The overall service, the cleanliness of the room!
Cons: Just remodel.
Location: Everything that I wanted to do was quite far away. However, I had one evening meal close to the hhotel that was delightful
I found the hotel very outdated and needing a lot of remodeling throughout. Having said that, the rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff was wonderful. Regrettably, my meetings were at the State Department which made taxi service rather expensive. I was an Expedia traveler and was surprised that breakfast was not provided. The ala carte menu was very good. When you remodel, I think the hotel will be great based on the service that I received. If possible try to make the courtyard where the taxis arrive safer. jtl

A hotel that feels like home

Posted Jan 20, 2015
I stay here every time I visit Washington, D.C. It's in the center of everything I want to do and where I want to go. I often forget it's a hotel because it's nestled in the middle of a great neighborhood. I actually feel like it's my own little apartment in the city. I love this place. You'll feel at home.

Perfect for Us

Posted Jan 16, 2015
The staff was very helpful and friendly. It was a great location with an easy walk to restaurants and less the .5 miles to the metro. The wine hour was great for meeting people too!

A little tired

Posted Jan 15, 2015
Pros: Wine Happy Hour
Cons: Needs updating
Location: Great Area
The Hotel has an interesting concept that is supposed to be kinda Andy-Warholish fun but the pictures got stale after first viewing and the wallpaper and furnishings were tired. I had two odd-angle photos of barbie dolls in my room... cute huh? The halls were lined with torso photos of posing hipsters ... The chartruse dresser and orange counter in my room were worn and the whole place just looked like it needed an update. Big rooms for DC though. One night, maybe... but three like me ... no way again.

Modern, fun hotel great for younger guests

Posted Jan 14, 2015
Cons: The nightly parking fee was OUTRAGEOUS. $45 a night is absolutely unfair & selfish, especially for younger guests like me. We found parking for $18!
This hotel was a prime location for me because I only had a 5-minute walk to work in the morning. A little bit pricey, but that's what you get for booking a hotel during the week in DC. Our room was beautiful - we had the studio king room. Huge, comfortable bed, and the room was very spacious and open. I loved the modern, young flair as I'm only 21 years old, and it wasn't stuffy and boring like any other hotel. The staff were friendly, even though I didn't interact with them too often. There was plenty of hot water, as well as plenty of places to store your belongings (closet, safe, dresser, etc.). I also loved the number of mirrors - not that we needed too many since there were only 2 of us - but I'm sure most women like me would appreciate that. Plenty of room/areas to get ready for work/going out.

A hotel worth the price

Posted Jan 13, 2015
Paid $100 for one-night in a one-bedroom. Hotel staff seemed great. The rooms look nice from a distance but up close one can tell that a lot of work was put in to cover-up lower quality, old upholstery.

Ghetto Run Down Hotel

Posted Jan 13, 2015
In the Ghetto, trash flowing out of the can right outside the entrance. Tiny rooms, run down hotel that just had a dirty feel.
