“Beautiful Neighborhood and Convenient access to Downtown”
I loved this hotel. Very helpfull and nice staff, they offer many extras that you wouldn't find at other hotels and a very personal experience. The thing I liked the most was the location, it is set in a beautiful neighborhood and only one block from the Metro, providing easy access to all of DC. Also enjoyed the size of the room, average rooms are the size of Suites, with entryway and large area for getting ready.
“Great stay & Super Pet Friendly!”
The Staff from the front desk to housekeeping are very friendly and helpful. Excellent location, Firefly Restaurant is highly recommended. Madera Hotel is a small Hotel very unique, Great for a weekend or week getaway, for business or pleasure, affordable price and if you travel with your PET they will make them feel like a king too. Enjoy your stay.
“"Wonderful Washington DC hotel"”
I had visited their wonderful restaurant, Firefly, last year and knew the hotel would great. The staff are very professional and courteous. Large, clean rooms make a big difference to my husband and I.
“Friendly but . . .”
Friendly service, great location but $10 a day for WiFi is just silly!
“once old, now kimpton.....The”
Great location. The hotel is like an old apartment building that has been renovated. None the less it was a very nice hotel, room and the staff was very friendly.
“A hidden gem in the heart of vibrant Washington DC! Not to be missed!”
Wonderful Boutique hotel in central DC, right in the heart of Dupont Circle, only 5 min walk to the red line metro. The room was enormous, beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean, far nicer than most 5* hotels, for a fraction of the price. This hotel is a real find and we can't reccomend it enough! PLus the attached restuarant and room service was exceptional, and the staff were genuinely enthusiastic and friendly.
“Wonderfully unique experience!”
I stayed at Hotel Madera for a long weekend before a business trip. From the moment we walked in the doors we were treated like the only guest there. The wine reception was wonderful and our room was beautiful. The metro stop was only a few blocks away and restaurants and shops were close by. Can't wait to come back to DC and stay in this hotel again.
“Will be back”
Hotel was a big surprise, a good one. Lobby was shabby and little dirty, but our room was a great. Large, appointed areas for dressing, office. Comfortable beds. Room was quiet and clean. Newly renovated look. Very, very friendly service, homey feeling. Location was great. We were so positively surprised, that we'll be there again, when going to Washington DC. Thanks
“Really Unbelievable Hospitality”
From the moment we checked in, the hospitality at this hotel was truly exceptional. As in one-of-a-kind. We never experienced anything like it -- whether a hotel, restaurant or any service establishment. So many offers from every staff person to assist us with check-in, bags, cab hailing, after work drinks. They made up a special breakfast for my wife one morning when she was sick and brought it up. No charge. Unbelieveable. If this is what all their hotels are like, we're sold.
“I would absolutely go back”
very good value
