Great stay in DC

Pros: It's a historic building (post office) converted into a very nice hotel.
Cons: The bed was kind of hard, but I guess that's individual preference
Monaco hotel in DC, close to the monuments, close to shopping, restaurants, etc. A touch of class at a reasonable rate, with great staff all around.

Pros: The staff is great, complimentary morning coffee and tea, and choice of newspapers. Complimentary wifi, gym, afternoon cookies.
Cons: Room was great, but mattress was a little lumpy.
Location: Walking distance to the mall and museums. Great restaurants nearby. Across street from Verizon center, and metro.
Great location, Great amenities, Great people. The staff are trained to please the customer. Always happy, always helpful.

Pros: Convenient location, friendly staff and valet parking
Location: Great location with all kinds of things to do within walking distance
Walking distance to the Verizon Center, across from the National Portrait Gallery and close to the Spy Museum with an excellent choice of shopping, restaurants, etc. in close proximity

My husband and I went for a romantic getaway to DC. We enjoyed the hotel, complimentary coffee hour and restaurant. The staff is helpful but unobtrusive. Place is clean and has cool artsy character, high ceilings and clean cozy rooms.

Pros: Complimentary wifi, but no airport shuttle.
Cons: Do a better job cleaning the rooms.
Location: Only convenient if you're going to watch a sports game, other then that too many transients wondering around in the area if you're a traveling solo.
Check out wasn't very nice, poor hospitality. Hotel could have done better with service in that regard...maybe Thank you, we hope you enjoyed your stay at the hotel ...you would think they had some training in the department before being allowed to service patrons at the front of the house..

The room was so small. There was, perhaps, two feet from the end of the bed to the wall. We paid for a Queen size bed and got a double.

Pros: The front desk staff was excellent, as was the manager. Seems the situation and condition of the hotel overall was out of their control.
Cons: Seems they're in the process of taking care of some issues, hence the renovation. Could improve on the cleanliness, condition of items in the rooms.
Location: Good location, walking distance to Verizon center and the museums on the Mall. Nice restaurants nearby. Conveniently located to my business conference
Besides the excellence of the front desk staff and managers, this was overall a disappointment. A 4-5 star price and a 3 star experience at best. The lobby was being renovated so obscured by black curtains, very small pathway directly to the check-in desk, a bit chaotic due to the extremely limited lobby area. Just a few chairs available in a small adjacent room for the complimentary coffee. Originally assigned to a small room on the ground floor with a window directly on to their courtyard restaurant. Face to face with the customers unless the heavy drapes are pulled, and then you're trapped in a small airless room. I asked to be switched to another room, and was immediately moved to the 4th floor by the very accommodating staff. The hallway to the new room was elegant (if a bit worn) but the new room was again very small and rather tired as well. It's simply not worth the price per night, and I travel extensively to major cities around the world. If your hotel is under renovation, you simply must reflect that in the price.

No free WiFi. We were woken up early at 5:15 AM because our room was next to a service entrance. The hotel is beautiful, and our room was immaculately cleaned; however several hundred dollars for one night was not worth the early wakeup call by laundry cart, and one would expect free WiFi for that cost.
