Nice hotel, well located.

Posted Apr 16, 2014
Pros: Staff - room - location
Cons: Serious, apparently long term elevator problems. The city cut the water one night. Should have received a free breakfast or discount for problems.
Location: Great area - farmer's market on Sat. Dupont circle is very upscale, lots of embassies, good bookstores, Red line metro 5 min walk from hotel.
Overall a very good place to stay. Staff is super. Serious elevator problems. The restaurant Urbana is excellent.

Nice Hotel, Great Location!

Posted Apr 15, 2014
Pros: The staff is excellent - very freindly and helpful. The onsite restaurant is very good.
Cons: Not all the elevators were working which meant long waits.
Location: The location is close to the metro and running trails which made it an outstanding location for our visit.
We arrived just in time for the wine being served in the lobby. A great way to begin our vacation. The hotel is located conveniently to the metro, rock creek park trail and lots of restaurants. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We enjoyed breakfast at the hotel restaurant. The breakfast pizza is awesome! Overall a lovely stay.

Very Nice Staffs (Dog Friendly)!

Posted Apr 14, 2014
Pros: Staff was wonderful.
Location: Starbucks is right on the corner. Many restaurants near Dupont Circle. We went to Restaurant Nora few blocks away that was great.
We traveled with our 20lbs dog and had wonderful stay at the Palomar. The hotel was in good location near Dupont Circle and had plenty of restaurants near by. The room was very clean and spacious. Staffs were very helpful and they offered and dog-sit our dog for four hours at the front desk while we were out on charity event. The hotel hosts coffee and tea in the morning and wine reception at 5pm~6pm which was added bonus.

Hi Andreas, 5-stars! Awesome! Thanks for your wonderful comments about your stay. Our location is primary benefit of the Hotel. Dupont Circle is one of the best neighborhoods in DC and just a short walk away from many of DC's finest attractions. Helps that Dupont Circle Metro is but a few 3 short blocks away. You get the feeling that this hotel is putting in the extra effort to take care of their guests and so I am very happy to suggest that anyone wanting a downtown place in DC should try it.

Great stay in ideal Washington location

Posted Mar 31, 2014
Pros: Great location. Friendly staff. Good facilities
Cons: Little touches such as a tea/coffee maker (for the Brits) would have been fantastic and a coffee table would have been useful for snacks etc
Location: Great location right near Du Pont Circle and the M. Can get everywhere from there and walk to many of the sights, including the white House.
We were warmly welcomed by the reception staff and offered wine and nibbles on arrival. They had taken the trouble to read my requests for a quietly located, room on a high floor and this is exactly what we got. The Queen-Queen offered a huge space with two massive beds and plenty of storage space. We were given complimentary wi fi for the 4 days and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We used the business centre which was very efficient for checking in to flights and printing out boarding passes. No messing about- it was all completed in a matter of minutes. We had breakfast out for 3 days but the one day we ate in it was good. The atmosphere was warm and friendly. The free wine and drinks between 5 and 6pm is a nice touch and the Hotel is very well located, near the M and in a beautiful area with smart restaurants and cafes. It would have been great to have had a coffee/tea maker in the room and a coffee table but these are just extras and there was complimentary coffee and tea in the lobby in the morning. All in all a very good Hotel and excellent value for money.

Pros: Very convenient to the Dupont Circle metro station. Supermarket across the street and restaurants/coffee shops all around. What more could you ask for
Cons: Nothing
I have never had much luck finding a hotel in DC that I would stay in a second time. This is the one! The location is great, the rooms are comfortable, and the staff is helpful. Would definitely recommend! No complaints.
