Nice hotel with restaurants insidePosted Oct 28, 2013
Pros: Hotel was clean, good beds and pillows, rooms large and airy. The Morton's restaurant was excellent.
Cons: Clear the issue with Expedia for the extra charge on more than 2 people in a double bad room. Improve the service at cafe Grill downstairs.
Location: Conveniently located for the NW side of town with easy access to restaurants and good area of Bethesda. We booked it to have easy access to AU.
Service was good, Morton's Restaurant downstairs exceptional. Just be aware that they charge extra for more than 2 people in the room via Expedia and if the number of people change they will not refund. A little too noisy for the lower floors due to activity in the Atrium. Service can improve at the cafe where we got the toast after we were half way with the eggs.

A noisy placePosted Oct 28, 2013
Pros: Staff was pleasant and responsive.
Cons: Needs renovation.
Location: Very convenient to downtown DC.
This hotel is built around the 20+ story artium. Our bad luck that we got a room on the first floor. The noise from the lobby bar was constant until midnight when it closed. Also the room was very small, and the closet door was broken. Kind of a shabby place.

Not consistent with Hyatt brandPosted Oct 15, 2013
My overall experience was disappointing. I expected a modern hotel with modest accommodations. The closet door was broken. I found mold in the bathroom. The towels were rough. The remote control for the tv did not work. Yuck!

Conveniently above Metro in downtown Bethesda!Posted Oct 15, 2013
Pros: See above
Cons: Each room should have a blow drier in it before the guests arrive.
Location: Movies, great restaurants, Metro!
The hotel was clean, staff was excellent and responsive. The only problem was no blow drier in the bathroom and we had to wait for one to be delivered and not enough shampoo and conditioner for 2 people. But again, we asked for more and it was delivered promptly. It was a good hotel, conveniently located right next to the Metro that takes you directly to downtown DC and the airport, and also has parking right underneath. You can walk to movie theater and many great restaurants. I recommend the hotel highly.

Concert get-a-way.Posted Sep 22, 2013
Pros: The location, of course. Its very convenient.
Cons: I would have liked the room to have been ready when we got there, but it wasn't much of an inconvenience.
We chose the Hyatt since we wanted to be close the the Strathmore Music Center for a concert. It had good ratings on other travel websites. Its about 3 miles from the Strathmore and about 4 miles from White Flint Mall. Its about the same distance to I495 so we can jump back on the interstate. Our room wasn't ready but we did arrive a bit early. But the room was ready by 3:30pm. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. They have an all day parking pass for the garage for $20/day which was a good option. The staff were very friendly and helped us with directions. The decor is a little dated (circa early 70s) but it gives the hotel a kind of funky style---I liked it.

End to a night at Morton'sPosted Sep 11, 2013
Pros: Good water pressure and plenty of hot water. Rooms are well insulated.
Cons: See above...
I found the room to be an enormous disappointment. The staff and service were fine, but the room was worn and in desperate need of refurbishment. I've had better rooms at the Quality Inn... The closet doors did not close completely (screw stuck in the rails), one of the doors was off the track and unmovable. Several pieces of the furniture showed significant wear, and one (the nightstand) had the finish peeling off of it... Additionally, the bed was too soft and I did not sleep well, but this seems to be a problem with most hotels. Bottom line, I expect better from a Hyatt -egeny hotel!!

Labor Day WeekendPosted Sep 8, 2013 on Hotels.com
the hotel needs a renovation -- top to bottom. Staff was great. Also, it is a little strange that there is no elevator from the hotel lobby to the parking garage. In fact, there is no covered walkway from the garage to the hotel.
