Great hotel, great location

The hotel was convenient to the Smithsonian museums and the monuments. Only a few blocks from the White House. The hotel was comfortable, staff was friendly...everything was great.

Quick weekend getaway

Posted Apr 14, 2014
Pros: Staff, rooms, layout.
Location: As I mentioned earlier, the hotel is close to the monuments, museums, excellent restaurants, and the metro.
We had a pleasant stay at JW Marriott. The concierge staff was excellent, especially Dominick, who was very knowledgeable and helpful. We had two adjoining rooms, and they were clean and spacious. The hotel is located close to the monuments, metro, attractions and restaurants. Overall it was a lovely stay.

Great Location!

Posted Apr 11, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Renovate
Location: Walking distance to White House
Its walking distance to white House! Too expensive for the quality! The hotel did not feel like the money was well spent on luxury. The hotel felt very generic not like 4 or5 star quality. Rooms quite small and same with bathroom. The front desk and the valet people were very good.

Cons: Valet group lost my request to pull the vehicle around 2 times! I called 20 minutes ahead of required time. at $42 a night fee, they have to do better

Not bad

Posted Mar 20, 2014
Pros: Location. Good Staff
The hotel is 'ok'. I just expect more from a JW Marriott. The room was clean if a little dated. In no way did it feel like luxury. I could have been in a Hilton or any generic hotel room. Which by itself is not bad but when you pay for the JW you should expect more...right?

Good location. Clean

Posted Feb 23, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Would be nice to have nicer breakfast options (buffet)
Location: Couldn't pick a better location. Near all of the sites are within walking distance. We had a car but clearly didn't need it after all.
Staf was decent overall. Room was small, but for a city hotel not bad overall. Facilities were clean although our room heater made a noise almost the entire night. We had a car but didn't need it as there were so many things to see nearby.

Nice but expensive.

Wi-fi was 13.95 a day. Printing off two e-mails cost me over $4. Nice room great view of the Washington monument, but not a good overall value.

Nice hotel close to attractions, tours, etc.

Posted Feb 18, 2014
Pros: Location was great for our first visit to Washington, price was great, staff was friendly and helpful.
Cons: Rooms could be a bit cleaner - the cold air return grate clearly had not been dusted for recently - and there was a shampoo bottle left on the floor.
Location: Very close to The Mall, Smithsonian, the Monuments, the tour buses, the Metro.
Good hotel 2 blocks from White House - close to monuments, Smithsonian, tour buses, The Mall and the Metro. Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms were neat and clean - pleasant stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit Washington and be close to the The Mall, monuments and attractions thereabouts.

Great Hotel

Posted Feb 3, 2014
Pros: Great food, amazing staff, wonderful gym.
Location: Perfect location. Walking distance from everything.
It was great, perfect location, beautiful rooms and staff. The only down side to DC in general is that it's a slower, quieter area for a younger group such as myself coming from big city's such as NY & LA. It wasn't the funnest trip that I have been on but everything about the hotel was amazing.

Beautiful hotel-wonderful outside staff

Posted Jan 29, 2014
Pros: Loved the interior and lovely room
Cons: Concierge needs to be a bit more friendlier!
Location: Location was perfect-heaps to do saw everything!
Pulled into this hotel at 6pm at night after driving all day (and we are from Australia, so very confusing to try and find everything) was dark and snowing. The valet boys and the bag boys were outstanding and very helpful.
