It's ok.

Pros: Friendly and personable staff, Complementary breakfast- But not Healthy, Free wifi, Fair priced for a metro assessable hotel that isn't in the hood
Cons: The gym needs work. Machines seem to be bit worn down, especially the elliptical. For the standard rooms, i would suggest getting new carpets.
Location: Walkable to the metro (1 mile). Neighborhood isn't bad. Plenty of dining options. CVS and a Shoppers right up the road (walkable)
I come here frequently because I travel to this area for business. I stay about 4 nights once a month. I have two criteria; walkable to metro, and cheap. It's in a safe enough neighborhood to justify a mile walk to metro. There is also a shuttle service which is nice, but it's by request when you want to be picked up, which is a bit annoying. The rooms are clean enough... a little dingy. A couple of weird stains here and there. Small warning... walls are thin..

Conveniently located to DC Metro Station

Posted Apr 17, 2014
Very nice lobby and friendly staff. Room was up to date with new TV and motion sensing lights. We also got a great rate by booking on Expedia. The only negatives were the ongoing renovations that left the in-room movies disabled and the hot water was shut off during the middle of the day. The water wasn't that big of a deal since we were so busy seeing all the sights of DC, but the movies were disappointing since there aren't a lot of channels to watch. Overall had a good experience.

Under Remodel

Posted Apr 16, 2014
We stayed at the hotel for a week and all throughout our stay, there was no water in our room for about three hours. The hotel employees never told us that we would not be able to shower or wash our hands or anything. To be honest, they had very bad cleaning service as well. A few days, we came back from our daily sight seeing and the rooms were the same as we had left them. To add to that, the tv was out of signal various nights. Our last morning there we were planning to shower and the water didnt run! Since the water wastn running, we had to check out an hour later and on top of all of the inconvinieces we has gone through we were charged a 25 dollar late checkout fee!

Very nice hotel convenient to Metro

Posted Apr 16, 2014
Pros: I liked the location and the helpful staff.
Cons: It could use a larger sign close to the highway entrance.
Location: This hotel is for people visiting Washington DC. Park your car and take the Metro in and avoid the hassle of looking for parking in the city.
My wife and I found this hotel very clean with a helpful staff. The New Carrolton Metro Station is a short walk away with sidewalks. The breakfast, included in the room rate, was excellent. Very good value.

Comfortable, clean stay near Metro station

Enjoyed our stay here, hotel grounds and room were very clean. Upgrades were in process, should be even nicer when completed. Hotel has a free shuttle service to the metro station and back, made our sightseeing very trouble free!

Overall, it's a very nice hotel. The internet is fast and also has great breakfast. However, the checking in/out was little slow.

Nice hotel near the interstate.

Posted Apr 10, 2014
Pros: Proximity to the interstate and restaurants.
Cons: The towels were dingy.
Location: There were plenty of restaurants to choose from nearby. The hotel location was good.
I only stayed for one night but it was pretty nice. There amenities were decent for the price and the staff was professional. I would stay here again.

Nice Remodeling Work, but Noisy

Posted Apr 9, 2014
Pros: Right off I-95 with easy parking. Newly upgraded rooms.
Cons: Warn customers of the construction work...constant hammering is no fun to listen to. Hot water did not work in my room.
Location: Just google DC attractions and you will find endless things to see and do.
This hotel was a good value. The rooms are clean and comfortable and mine was newly upgraded. The hotel staff was courteous and helpful. The only real issue is the noise...constant hammering that seemed as though it was in the room next to me. Also, the hot water in my bathroom did not function, so I ended up taking a cold shower. Needless to say, the noise and lack of hot water made for a disappointing stay from the standpoint of comfort. Still, a good value with easy parking and not too far from either DC or Baltimore if you are visiting.
