“very good”

I don't know why others gave it such a bad review. I don't see anything wrong with this hotel. Very satisfied and would choose it again next time.

“Visit to Metro Points Hotel-Washington in October - decided to revisit in December!”

This hotel and its staff is wonderful. Free shuttle to the Metro allowed us to get to the National Mall so easily. Then there was no stress getting back to New Carrollton or the hotel after our DC day. The highlight at the actual hotel is the barmaid/waitress in ther hotel bistro. She really has her act together, no rushing you through your meal. The room is charming with open piped style bathroom sink, huge shower area and overall large bathroom. In the main room there is plenty of closet and drawer space. Clean and comfortable bed an beding, in room safe, Iron & Ironing board, large TV and best of all the room was nice and quiet. When I asked the front destk for a reccomendation of a nice seafood restaurant they gave me a print out of the menu as well as a Mapquest print out so I would know exactly how to get there.

“It worked for us”

The front desk staff were very efficient and polite. The room was comfortable, although the wireless internet was slow in our room. It was nice to be able to access the internet and print boarding passes from the business center. The shuttle to the Metro station was terrific!

“very happy”

I got a great price for this hotel via expedia. I expected a moderate to low-end stay, but ended up in a very nice hotel with a very nice room. I'll admit the view wasn't great (a roof) and I could hear the highway a little. On the other hand, the hotel was easy to find and the metro was very close, only one exit up, and easy to get to. We didn't take the shuttle, because my experience with all hotel shuttles is not good, so we skipped that completely and drove. The buffet breakfast included eggs, bacon, french toast, cereal etc. Fairly standard fair for a buffet breakfast, not great, but part of the price, so no complaints from me. I'd stay again, even at slightly higher rates.

“Exraordinary service”

The staff consistently went out of their way to meet guests needs. The facilities are well-maintined and spotless. The location is accessible to the DC Beltway and I-95.

“Great location close to subway”

The hotel is located on the same block as the subway making it convienent to get to tourist attractions. The staff were welcoming and very helpful with the local knowledge at their finger tips. They found us some great resturants. The rooms are comfortable and clean but there isn't any room for dancing in them. Overall very happy with the hotel and service and would recommend it to others

“Most Attentive & Friendly Hotel Staff Ever”

I stayed here with my two teenage children over our Spring Break so that we could see DC and visit with friends in New Carrolton. The staff was unbelievably helpful, attentive, and friendly. The shuttle to the Metro worked very well, and the front desk staff called the driver for us without delay whenever we needed to go to the metro. We were able to phone the hotel for the shuttle to pick us up at the Metro Stop as soon as we arrived at the station and I don't think that we ever waited more than 10 minutes for the shuttle to come. The rooms were very comfortable and attractive. The restaurant was fine....nothing to write home about, but totally satisfactory hotel food. The "business center" is only a small room with one computer, and the printer was in the hotel office. I was informed that soon the hotel would be charging for pages that are printed, but I did not have to pay during my stay.

“Would do it again”

Good looking hotel with clean rooms and helpful front desk. Arrived very late, and yet they had everything ready for me when I arrived. Nice, indeed.

“Good location, good price.”

I stayed at the Metro Points because it was very convenient to the train station. i flew into Reagan and I had to take a train to Baltimore for a football game. All went super smooth. The restaurant on the hotel property was really good. Easy access to the DC area, just be aware of the shuttle bus pick-up/drop-off times.

“Very Suitable Accomodations”

Surprisingly good for the low cost. My only complaint was the condition of the bath tub. Looks like it was refinsished but has since started to peel. Metro station is about a mile away and if you're lucky enough to arrive just in time for the Hotel shuttle, all is good, otherwise you have to wait 30 minutes. Taxi is less than five bucks. Good eats within walking distance. I'd stay again.
