Great rooms and facilities

Posted Apr 13, 2015
Traveling during spring break. Hotel well located near Metro station and restaurants. Only complaint would be pool was overrun with a group of middle school children totally unsupervised by anyone from their school or the hotel making the pool virtually unusable by anyone else!

Convenient location to Metro

Posted Apr 12, 2015
Pros: Very clean rooms, and very quiet! Beds were very comfortable. Convenient location to Metro station.
Cons: Front desk staff might want to do some training in customer service.
We arrived on Saturday night and the hotel staff was very courteous, but as the week went on, they became less and less interested in us. They seemed much more interested in the larger conventions that were being held there than regular families there on vacation. The front desk staff was VERY rude; however, the wait staff, door greeters, shuttle staff, and even house keeping was very friendly and very accomodating. The rooms were very clean and quiet which was most important to us! The hotel was convenient to the Metro station, as well as to several area restaurants. We felt very safe walking around the area. Appeared to be a very upscale part of town.

Shuttle service, room size, restaurants are pluses

Posted Apr 5, 2015
Pros: Free shuttle service, size of room, location to area restaurants and stores and Metro line, cordial staff
Cons: Upgrade. Remove mold, use Old English Scratch Cover to remove scratches on the doors; add more lighting in the rr.
Location: Metro is two blocks and can take you into D. C. Good restaurants (take shuttle): Founding Farmers, Coastal Fields
The mold above the shower, the dark bathrooms, and the lack of attention to details were disappointing. Lack of attention to details include carpet stains, dusty mirrors, heavily scratched doors and trim, and overcharge in the gift shop. The noise in the halls (particularly from large groups of kids) was bothersome. The staff everywhere was very nice; the restaurants, the internet cafe, the size of the rooms, the free shuttle service were great. Receiving free shuttle service to our meetings and even to area restaurants made the stay worthwhile. Also, the hotel is close to area stores and the Metro line. Before booking anywhere else, check Expedia - as the cost was half the price quoted by the hotel.

Ok place to stay

Posted Apr 5, 2015
Pros: Clean room and great location.
Cons: Try to keep the noise down in the hallway. You can hear the doors slam when guest close the door.
Location: There is plenty of shopping and restaurants near by. Metro is close and easy to get to.
Nice location for a hotel. The room was nice. You could hear through the walls

Horrible

Posted Apr 5, 2015
Staff is incredibly rude. The worst attitude I've ever encountered at a hotel. Front desk check in is abismal. Check in is a strick 3pm, don't bother showing up a second earlier. Hotel itself has a lot of maintenance issues. Burned out lights in our room. The bathroom lighting is so poor had to apply make up in a compact by the window. Upon check out we'd been charged for everything three times!! 45 minute line to check out because apparently it happened to everyone in the hotel! DO NOT STAY HERE!

The staff is great. This hotel is walkable to local shopping center, however, is about 30 min walk to Tyson's Corner Mall. The shuttle takes you there, but has gaps in its schedule so make sure you look prior to leaving.

The restaurant is WAY overpriced

Posted Apr 3, 2015
Everything except the pricing of the restaurant's food was great. Not being able to eat a simple breakfast for less than $12.00 is ridiculous! However, that would be my only complaint!

Rip off

Posted Mar 30, 2015
Double and tripled charged people in our group and would not help to fix the problem. Staff was rude and slow. Almost all of them can't speak English ,so communication was hard. Will not stay again.

Bedbugs

Posted Mar 3, 2015
There were bedbugs. The manager came, in looked at the one hanging out on the top of the coverlet, and only said "Wow... that's definitely a bedbug." And gave us a room three doors down after an hour and a half of administrative things. The room got cleaned like any other room the next morning.
