Pros: location, price, spacious room
Outstanding location in Washington, DC. Two short blocks to National Mall! In the heart of the GWU campus. The room exceeded our expectations. The staff was extremely accommodating. Will definitely stay there again.

Nice place to stay, close to monuments

Posted Oct 17, 2014
Nice hotel, clean, had no problems. Hotel was close to monuments and fairly close to metro station. Staff was friendly and gave us a free upgrade. The food at the restaurant was ok, but good, the wait staff was a slow. Rooms were always kept up when we got back to the room.

Excellent location, comfortable to stay

Posted Oct 3, 2014
Pros: Cleanliness, location.
The hotel is very well located for all DC attractions. The room was clean and very comfortable. I had to miss one day of my stay because of my inability to come to DC thanks to an incident at Chicago airport. I therefore requested for a two hour delayed check out. Which the hotel agreed after resisting initially. I would strongly recommend the hotel for stay.

Pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness of the rooms, and the overall cleanliness and appearance. Situated in a nice area, close to restaurants etc, and within walking distance of the National Mall and other tourist attractions. Helpful and courteous staff.

Nice clean but short stay

Posted Oct 1, 2014
Pros: Super comfy bed and super nice staff! Really good location for west end.
Cons: See note above.
Location: Walking distance to Kennedy Center and to the subway line, plus George Washington University.
Just stayed here before flying home but the staff checked us in early, we got one of the renovated rooms which was very clean and nicely done. Bed made an awesome sleep. Could use a fan in bathroom but otherwise thought the bathroom was beautiful! Went to Kennedy Center for the opera and could walk. Loved this and we ate in the restaurant. My friend's meal was good but my steak sandwich was just so so.

Nice hotel close to where I do business

Posted Sep 30, 2014
Pros: The presence of the kitchen-dining area is a positive
Cons: The elevator should be modernized and the room smells a bit musty
Location: For my business the location is excellent and access to restaurants and the metro is a plus
Because of its proximity to where I do business and also to restaurants, I was able to visit more sites and sleep for longer periods

Would Stay Here Again

Posted Sep 28, 2014
Just left this hotel yesterday after staying here for 3 nights. I would definitely stay here again. It's a very safe, clean area that's within walking distance to all the major sights. We felt very comfortable walking around with our daughter. Nice clean rooms with comfortable beds and bedding. The only reason I knocked a star off for the "hotel facilities, condition" was because of the restaurant that's located here. It wasn't very good. Prices were very high for so-so service and not very good food (also very limited menu). I was surprised that such a nice hotel didn't have a better quality restaurant. On the plus side, there's a CVS located right next to the hotel (in case you forget anything). Except for the restaurant, there's nothing but positive things to say about this place.

Excellent hotel in great neighborhood

Posted Sep 25, 2014
Pros: Great location, safe neighborhood, walking distance from the White House, affordable, courteous staff, well-maintained.
Cons: Not a thing.
Location: Excellent restaurants, cafes and coffee shops within walking distance.
Great value. Super location--five blocks west of the White House and a couple blocks south of George Washington University in a very safe neighborhood. You can walk everywhere. It's an older hotel--hence the lower rates, but it's immaculate and well maintained. My room still had the original pink ceramic tile in the bathroom, but there'd be no reason to change it--it was in good shape and had a cool vibe. Ditto for the rest of the room--including the kitchenette. I didn't see any carpeting or other elements of the hotel that looked worn or in need of attention. The bedspreads, blankets and bed linens looked new. Staff were courteous, friendly, efficient and helpful.
