Overall a great experience. Very central with clean rooms. Friendly staff. Check-in took a bit long and they weren't very accommodating when my husband came later to get his key. Had to go through a few phone calls in order to get him his room key, oddly. Other than that hiccup, a great experience. Would highly recommend.

Very nice hotel with outstandingly friendly staff

Posted Oct 20, 2014
Pros: Very nice modern hotel done to high standard with outstanding staff
Cons: Traffic noise from DuPont circle but we were aware of this beforehand and overall the benefits and location of the hotel far outweighed this.
Location: Metro station nearby allows you to travel to all the well known landmarks in Washington and surrounding area's. Plenty of bars and restaurants nearby.
We were very impressed by the quick, friendly and informative check in and by the overall friendliness, efficiency and helpfulness of all the staff we encountered. The room was immaculate and cleaned daily to a very high standard. Would have no hesitation in staying again or recommending to friends.

Excellent location. Clean hotel.

Cons: Flush on toilet did not work and was reported the next day to the front desk. Nothing was done to rectify the problem till we left- manual flush done.
Nice and clean hotel. Very handy to metro train (we used this all the time to get around all the attractions). Lots of surrounding restaurants. The Asian Restaurant/Bar just across is higly recommended. Starbucks just in front as well. Central to everything.

Elegant and convenient

Posted Oct 19, 2014
The hotel was very modern and elegant in its decor. Exceedingly attentive bell hops/doormen. Beds super comfortable and the bathroom was spotless. Fitness center smallish and a little dark but very well stocked with medicine balls/sticks/ weight machines/gym mats/ headphone, in addition to ubiquitous treadmill. Across the circle from the subway red line so we could get around Washington quickly. No view to speak of. Sadly no pool.

The so-called delux room is too small for two

Posted Oct 18, 2014
You don't get the value out of the expensive room rate. The so-called king-size bed is smaller than the standard queen-size bed. The shower and wash sink are below standard.

Beautiful hotel close to the Metro System

Posted Oct 17, 2014
Pros: The location is excellent. There were plenty of places to eat in the area and if you want you can walk to many of the sites.
Cons: The room is small and the bathroom is enclosed by glass and does not provide privacy.
Location: Aside from the many places to eat, you can get to most of the sites on the Metro and you can get to Georgetown on The Circulator Bus for a dollar.
This is a wonderful hotel in a perfect location to get wherever you want in DC. The Metro is a block away and once you figure out the system you can even get to the airport, just allow enough time. The room is beautifully decorated with all the amenities. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION with lots of benefits

Posted Oct 16, 2014
Pros: Everything
Cons: It would help if the restaurant staff didn't pounce to clear away your plate as soon as you finished - even though your partner was still eating
I did considerable research about the best place to stay in Washington. The Dupont Circle Hotel consistently rated as a highly recommended hotel. Despite some criticism about the size of the rooms and the lack of privacy in the hotel bathrooms, we decided to stay there. The room was clean, well presented with a great outlook over Dupont Circle Park. The small lack of privacy in the bathroom is not a big deal. The restaurant serves great food. The fashionable glassed in bar and outdoor lounge fronted the street and Dupont Circle (free sunscreen and nibbles provided) so there’s plenty of activity/people watching. The Happy Hour with half price cocktails was a highlight – as was the excellent and friendly service provided by Bryon, Jacky and Shane. They were outstanding. We stayed there for 5 nights and they remembered our drinks each and every night! If you enjoy walking, then the hotel is for you. It’s close to everything - Old Town George Town, Washington Harbour, Embassy Row, National Cathedral, 14th Street & U Street (entertainment/restaurant district) National Mall and Smithsonian, etc, The Philips Art Collection and Anderson House (Society of the Cincinnati) is less than a 10 minute walk away). If you don’t like walking then there’s an excellent subway or bus service less than 5 min. walk from hotel. Trendy Kramerbooks & Afterwords Café and Starbucks are straight across the road. The hotel is surrounded by restaurants and cafes and bars.

Cute boutique hotel

Cute boutique hotel right at the Circle. Easy access to the red line. Small rooms but more than enough size. Heated floor in our room didn't get that warm. Amazing shower and bed!

Good location on DuPont Circle

Posted Oct 14, 2014
Generally this hotel provides a pleasant experience. I chose it based primarily on location and I wasn't disappointed; Good metro access, lively nightlife, a pleasant neighborhood simply to stroll. The décor, in both the lobby and the room, while sleek, had no flair. The entire hotel was immaculate, the staff friendly and helpful. The restaurant is excellent, and the bar delivers great drinks. The only outstanding faults are the wholly inadequate bathroom lighting and the window shutters, while charming, allow too much early morning sun into the room.
