Enjoyable week.

The Fairfax is very attractive and comfortable. Location is ideal! Less than two blocks to the Metro, restaurants, shopping, museums and a CVS pharmacy. The staff was always pleasant, knowledgeable, and helpful. We plan to stay at The Fairfax when we make D.C. our vacation destination again.

Great Historic Hotel

Posted Aug 24, 2014
Pros: We loved the room and the bathroom. Amenities were great!
Cons: Pricing in the restaurant was a little wack. $5.00 for a coffee and $4.00 for an order of toast. I guess it is a high end place so maybe appropriate.
Location: GREAT location, just two blocks from the Dupont Circle Metro Station and walking distance to many restuarants. We recommend Page One Restaurant.
We loved the Hotel. Great historic Hotel built I believe in 1927 and beautifully maintained.

Great location

Posted Aug 13, 2014
Cons: Ask for a room on a higher floor that faces out if an event is going on as LOUD music is allowed until midnight.
This is a nice hotel in a great neighborhood. Lots of restaurants within walking distance on P street and Conneticut, Starbucks on corner, easy access to the red line metro at Dupoint Circle and the free shuttle to Georgetown.

Every nice hotel in an upscale neighborhood.

Posted Aug 10, 2014
Pros: I love the appearance of the hotel. Very clean bad all the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Our
Location: There were several resturants and stores in walking distance. Very nice neighborhood we felt very comfortable in.
This hotel was very, very nice. We felt very safe in the neighborhood so we walked to several restaurants and stores. The staff were all very helpful and the conceigre arranged for a last minute restaurant reservation. The hotel is about 2-3 miles from the major attractions, however, the tour bus we purchased picked us up at the hotel and returned us there as well. I would stay there again in the future

Nice hotel with friendly staff

Posted Jul 30, 2014
The hotel was in a great location close to Dupont Circle and staying on Embassy Row was great. Really enjoyed walking around to see all of the different embassies. The hotel staff couldn't have been nicer and the gentleman working in the evening even gave us recommendations when we checked in of good places to go to grab a late night beer. The cleaning staff did an excellent job and the room was spotless. Only complaint was that there were some small holes in the sheets and the room doors closed very loudly so we could hear our neighbors coming and going.

Overall wonderful hotel except extra chg for WIFI.

Posted Jul 28, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff, clean, nice design, etc.
Cons: Free WIFI....in this day and age is should be a given. Even restaurants have free WIFI....dah!!
Location: Great location near Metro...
Stayed for 3 nights....easy to get to from Metro. Hate having to pay for WIFI after forking out a lot for the hotel already. Restaurants and coffee shops have free WIFI...hotels should as well.

Perfect for a DC visit

Posted Jul 28, 2014
Pros: location and rooms
Cons: Free internet
Location: Al-Tiramisu is a great Italian restaurant within walking distance Kramerbooks very nice breakfast place with a cool book store and bar attached
-Located walking distance to some excellent local restaurants (including a Starbucks one block away). Highly recommend Al-Tiramisu (Brief 3-4 minute walk from the hotel). -Clean and comfortable rooms. Two decent sized closets and for the most part pretty quiet -$5-6 Uber ride to National Mall and Georgetown -No hidden fees (but internet is $12/day)
