Great access to metro

Posted Mar 30, 2015
Pros: Proximity to metro, charming.
Cons: Better airflow in room.
Location: GWU and metro access.
Everything was fine with one exception: the fan did not work and the room was stuffy. Otherwise, extremely helpful and friendly staff and lovely, comfortable room.

stay at the George Washington University Inn

Posted Mar 23, 2015
Pros: I liked that the Inn is very quiet.
Location: Did not have an opportunity to see any of the city because of Meeting demands. Everything appears to be centred around the University
I stayed at the George Washington University Inn while attending a Meeting. The Inn was located in a nice neighbourhood just one block away from the venue of the Meeting, making it very convenient.

Great Stay

Posted Mar 20, 2015
Pros: Staff very nice and helpful. Near metro to accommodate easy access to National Mall.
Cons: When visiting it was cold and hallways a bit warm
Location: Near Metro so we could access National Mall, restaurants near by as well, all within short walks and worth it.
Needed last minute hotel which accepted small dogs. Found The George Washington University Inn on Tripadvisor and was very pleased with accommodations and stay. Inn staff all very friendly and helpful. Will be staying here again in near future.

Modestly priced hotel close to Foggy Bottom Metro

Posted Mar 10, 2015
Cons: Recommend more visibility by the street. I walked by it initially, and even then, through I was about to walk into an alley vice a driveway.
I didn't spend much time at the hotel itself or try the restaurant/bar. The staff, from doorman to front desk to maidservice, were all friendly and helpful. The wireless (both free and fast) works throughout the building.

Hotel is older. Very clean. PARKING IS A PROBLEM. WE USED VALET AND OUR VEHICLE SAT OUTSIDE THE ENTIRE TIME as they have very limited. space. Hotel restaurant limited costly menu.

Good for Kennedy Center events-late night food?

Posted Feb 24, 2015 on Hotels.com
Great location, especially if you are attending an event at the Kennedy Center. However, the restaurant closes early, and there is no other option very close if you are hungry/thirsty after 10pm (walk to Georgetown for food/drinks about 20 minutes). No minibar.

Great location for GWU visit and walking distance to White House, Capitol, Mall, Georgetown. Whole Foods within short walk - most convenient during snowstorm! Very clean, comfortable rooms. Excellent, friendly service from staff. Would definitely stay again.

We would come back

Posted Feb 16, 2015 on Hotels.com
A charming property if a bit worn at the edges--but unique, ie: colonial furniture all around. We were treated well and given a suite for our 1-night stay. Short walking distance to GWU (and Whole Foods) was superb! Overall, quiet and comfortable.
