Great hotel in quaint neighborhood

Posted Nov 15, 2014
Pros: The large rooms and accommodating staff. There is lemon water, a bowl of apples, and candy in the lobby. You can walk to the monuments. (or run)
Cons: Not much! It is a lovely spot. Not many parking spots in the lot, but there are more if you drive through the neighborhood.
Location: Walk to GW campus, National Mall, Rock Creek Park, and may Foggy Bottom restaurants.
We have stayed here before, and certainly will again. The hotel staff is most accommodating. We have students in DC and were traveling with grandparents and dogs and needed two suites. They were helpful and cooperative when I needed to change one room. Valet was cheerful and helpful with our car and luggage. The restaurant was great for dinner and breakfast. This hotel is close to The National Mall and GW University. It is an easy walk to many restaurants and other venues, including Whole Foods and other campus spots.

Best Place to Stay in DC

Posted Nov 13, 2014
Pros: Exceptional staff! Perfect location!
We were in DC to visit GW and the location of the hotel couldn't have been any more convenient. Walking distance to Georgetown and all the sites. Room and bath were large, clean and comfortable. Had lovely room overlooking the street in adorable row house neighborhood.

Great and quiet location, near the metro

Posted Oct 7, 2014
Pros: First, near metro location. Second, cleaning and mostly quiet room.
Cons: Change the cartdrige of your public printer.
Location: I wish I had more information about the many public activities around your great location.
Nice room and housekeeping most of the 6 days I spent. However the walls are kind of thin since I heard some yelling a couple of times. I liket to have free bottles of water, although it was all but the last day and I was said it was not their obligation to do so everyday. Still I felt safe and work and rest well.

Pros: The staff went out of their way to make guests feel welcome.
Location: The Inn is located a block away from the Foggy Bottom metro stop and less than two miles from the National Mall.
The facilities do show their age a little bit (particularly the elevators) but the hotel itself is very nice, the rooms are larger than I'd expected and larger than a more expensive DC hotel I've stayed in, and the staff was all excellent. Valet parking is available and offered at a competitive rate for DC; the staff will also hold your car for the afternoon after you check out, which was extremely convenient.

Nice friendly hotel in funky Foggy Bottom district

Posted Sep 15, 2014
If you want to see DC, this is an excellent place to base your visit. Located close to the Foggy Bottom metro station the hotel is small, classy and friendly. You can walk to many of the sites on the mall or simply jump on the metro to navigate your way around town.

Friendly staff, facility and security issue

Posted Sep 12, 2014
Pros: Really friendly, attentive staff.
Cons: Facilities and security.
Location: Outstanding location. Right next to metro and excellent shops/restaurants.
The staff were uniformly very friendly, attentive, and accommodating. However, one night I awoke in the middle of the night to find the room door opened, stopped from being completely opened only by the security latch on the door, which, thankfully, I set before retiring for the night. Needless to say, this was most disconcerting. The staff accommodated by moving us to a new room at the top of the hotel. However, the bathtub in this room had cracks in the bottom, through which water seeped in and out. Also, when we asked to have our electronic room keys and locks reset late one night (after realizing we'd left one of our keys in the room for the day), we were told that couldn't be done because the required person had left for the night. Not a good answer, especially given the previous security incident.

nice simple, older hotel

Posted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: good beds, good TV, nice little Italian restaurant in the hotel, valet parking, see above
Cons: it is not fancy
Location: nice residential DC neighborhood just next to GWU. walk around the corner and you get the feel of campus life flow of students, quads, cafes, etc.
good location for our tour of DC colleges, nice neighborhood in Foggy Bottom, restaurants etc. nearby. The layout for basic room, small apt' style suite with kitchenette, separate bedroom and living room with a TV in each, nice bath, more roomy than many standard rooms in more modern hotels. Not the fanciest but friendly staff and clean, comfortable accommodations ay a reasonable rate.
