great location in georgetown

There is no way to control the temperature in your room other than to open and close windows. Our check-in experience was bad. Our room was not ready until 4 pm and the guy at the desk gave me attitude. We had checked out the night before and our flight was cancelled- we re-reserved and they would not give us the same room back so we had to wait over 3 hours. We left our bags to have lunch and upon returning was again given attitude by the front desk guy because I did not have a ticket…which I was not given. If I can find any alternative in the area even for more money I will pay it.

Good location, terrible everything else.

Posted Dec 26, 2014
Pros: Good location
Location: Georgetown- shopping, cafes, food, waterfront, near downtown dc.
While I chose the Graham Hotel primarily for its location in the heart of Georgetown- it was quite a horrendous experience. I checked in fine and received the room in absolutely appalling condition! I booked a double queen room and one of the beds was completely bare with dirty sheets. The bathroom had no towels, trash from previous residents and no bath supplies. The mini bar was completely raided by the previous resident- anything from dirty coffee cups to open bottles of alcohol. All of it was laying out for me to see even though they had said there was a room fully ready. I did not get mad at all but simply asked them to come clean it up as I was confused they might have given me a room that was already occupied. The next day I checked out and the guy that works at the check in desk asked me about my mini bar usage which I had not touched AT ALL. I explained the situation to him and he dared accuse me of lying and saying that it may have possibly been "my friend" who used the mini bar (I was travelling alone!) At this point I brushed it off but he then said that the manager would like to speak to me and I explained the situation to her. They said they needed to "investigate" the issue and still have my information on hold. I am absolutely appalled and disgusted by the way they spoke to me in the most demeaning way possible. Needless to say I am NEVER staying here again:) If I could give them negative ten stars for customer service then there it is.

Comfortable, friendly hotel in Georgetown

Posted Dec 19, 2014
Pros: Location is excellent, staff helpful and friendly, room was clean and spacious.
Cons: One minor issue that I brought to the staff's attention upon checkout was that the bathroom sinks' drains closures did not work properly.
I stayed one weekend night here and had a lovely time. My King room was not available so I was upgraded to a King suite, which was an appropriate and welcomed move on the staff's part.

Perfect spot for a night in Georgetown

Posted Nov 24, 2014
This hotel is in a perfect location for a night in Georgetown. My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary and walked to the Kennedy Center which was an easy 10-15 minute walk. They are about 20 steps from M street, the main drag in Georgetown and a block from the waterfront. Staff was very friendly, rooms were well appointed and the location cannot be beat. We parked in a garage overnight nearby on a Saturday night and it was only $10. I believe they have valet parking but they were not there on our first pass by the hotel so we found the garage that was less then a block away.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I am glad that you enjoyed your overall stay with us, and there are a few things to bring up for your next visit. While are rooms are made up in the traditional European style, without an extra sheet, we have top sheets available upon request, so please do not hesitate to ask. We can also add the preference for interior facing rooms as it seems you
