Lovely, comfortable, cleanPosted Dec 16, 2014
Pros: comfort, location, daily Washington Post newspaper, friendly staff, clean
Cons: storage room near my guest room allowed for some early morning noise when the staff accessed the room for cleaning supplies. Slightly disturbing.
Location: exceptionally well located for my work and play. easy walking distance to the Mall and all historical interests I had interest in.
overall very welcoming and comfortable…bathroom especially was exceptionally pleasing as many other hotels fail to care for these rooms…great shower, great tub, lots of hot water, fresh feeling. Guest room in general was quite lovely.

Very nice stay & I'll be back againPosted Dec 7, 2014
Pros: Location, price, amenities
This hotel was within an easy 3-block walk to my much more expensive conference hotel. So I chose it primarily based on cost and location. I was very pleasantly surprised - a warm welcome by great staff, who were very responsive. The room was a little small (compared to the big chains) but not unexpected given that it's an old, historic hotel. The room was very comfortable with nice amenities and very clean. I will definitely stay here again when I'm in the DC area and will recommend it to my friends. Thanks!

Historic hotel close to the Mall and Dupont CirclePosted Dec 6, 2014
Nice hotel with old luxury feel; has a great bar and intimate restaurant. We walked to museums and restaurants. Parking was easy but a little costly. Room was roomy and comfy. Bed was highest quality. We would definitely do it again.

Historic hotelPosted Dec 5, 2014
This an historic building and obviously it's been renovated but not to luxury standards. The hotel is quiet and the staff are friendly and helpful. My room was small and faced the central courtyard of the building where I had a dim view of people working in offices in the newer building now attached to the hotel. My room was small which I understand and appreciate in an historic building but furnishing was not well thought out so the space was not well used.

Very comfortable, heritage hotelPosted Dec 4, 2014
Pros: Quiet, nicely decorated.
Cons: Bathroom could use updating.
Location: About 10 blocks from National Mall and monuments. Close to convention centre and tour bus stop.
We spent two days in Washington, staying in a Junior Suite at the Henley Park for one night. Our room was roomy and very nicely decorated. The hotel staff seemed pleasant and helpful, though we didn't have many opportunities to interact with them. The hotel is a little farther away than other hotels from the main attractions, but still within a reasonable walking distance. A metro stop and a stop for the hop-on, hop-off buses are only a couple blocks away, at the convention centre.

Nice place to stay in DC; modernized/comfortablePosted Dec 4, 2014
Pros: Centrally located; easy access to most places in DC
I enjoyed my stay at the place. It was easy to get to from the Metro and centrally located overall. Getting a taxi from the place on a rainy day is difficult. Had to walk over to Marriott across the street to do so!
